All of the BT products that we have had and currently use, are very reliable and very good quality. This machine appears very robust and well put together. There are two main pieces of plastic that make up the outer shell and they are both fixed to the base. It sounds pretty solid so if you were to knock it off your side table or telephone unit, it should survive the fall. It should also be very technically efficient and reliable. RECCOMENDATION
I would certainly advise anybody who needs or thinks that an answering is benefitial, to buy this one. It comes in at less than £30 and for your money you get the BT brand name, a funky well-designed product and also an answering machine with numerous functions. Advantages: Good make and the 1471 facility is very useful. Disadvantages: Need a battery so you don't lose messages if there's a power cut (as it's digital)
