Advantages Advantages Very versatile and intuitive to use. SMS-enabled

Disadvantages Disadvantages I still get phone calls

We've had a BT-branded cordless DECT* phone combined with an answering machine for quite a while now, although it's had one or two annoyances right from the start. a) Unless you bought the in-line battery pack, and kept it serviced with 6 AAs every year, the answering machine loses its messages during a power cut. b) The handset's rechargeable battery pack didn't seem to hold a decent charge for very long, requiring frequent replacement. Other than that, the Siemens-sourced Diverse 1015 has been a strong performer, if a little industrial in its slate-grey appearance, like a dashboard from the ... more

My old BT set of walk about phones with ans machine were looking bit tired so I looked round for a replacement. My first pick was a BT diversity set but the views on Ciao were all bad so I kept looking, The Verve 450 series caught my eye next because of its good look (glossy black finish)and feel (substantial weight and size) so after taking a careful look at the features and testing out the feel of the thing I took a chance and bought it,and Im pleased I did. The handsets have a good feel to them, strongly made and not too light, I hate a phone that feels too light in the hand. The key pads ... more

Advantages Advantages Many functions which make it a good phone

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none really

BT Verve twin home phoneWe bought these phones a couple of years ago and have been pretty happy with them. They are reliable and functional and do pretty much everything you want from a decent home phone. We keep the main one downstairs and the twin in our bedroom. The phone is also an answer machine which has 15 minutes recording time. The handsets are black and fairly slim-line (about 1cm thick), They are rectangular in shape and have a fairly decent sized screen at the top half of the phone. This screen shows you which phone it is (main phone or twin) and you can name them if you like – ... more

Advantages Advantages Good size buttons, proper answer machine, well styled.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slimline handset can slide down the couch with ease.

A really solid cordless phone. After experiencing numerous problems with my last cordless phone, I swapped it for this one kind of on a whim with little research. 6 months and a few drops down the line and the gamble has paid off. The quality of the cordless function is very high, with no noticible "fuzz" on the line. The speakerphone option is also very good, providing loud and clear output of the person on the other end and seemingly an equally good microphone (seeing as I have yet to receive even one of the usual complaints about quietness that I usually get with speakerphones). The answer ... more
