Portable Perfection? - not quite Review with images

Advantagescordless, straighten effectively

Disadvantagesno temperature controll

"...much hinting, I received these babyliss cordless straighteners as a Christmas gift. The first thing I noticed about them was just how small and light they really were. The ceramic plates are around an inch and a half in diameter and about 4 inches long, which is ample for quick fixes to my hair when out and about. The main body of the straighteners houses the gas cartridge which is what powers them instead of mains electricity. These straighteners ..." Read review

Its Portable but is it practical

Advantagescordless, inexpensive

Disadvantagesnot hot enough, catches hair

"Babyliss Portability I have probably mentioned before that I couldn't live without my GHDs,- best straighteners I've ever tried but they are too expensive to throw in your bag or leave in work. I was also wary about taking them on holiday in case they blew upburnt out with the voltage change (I really love my GHDs and this did happen to my friends dryer in the Canaries) Last summer in Boots sale I found a cordless version of the Babyliss straighteners ..." Not Worth It.

AdvantagesPortable, Compact.

DisadvantagesNo Different Temperture, Too expensive to run.

"Even though BaByliss is one of the top hair products, this product really isn't worth buying. Although it is portable and compact but it's really not useful for straightening your hair. There is no different temperature settings, which isn't very useful as the set temperature really isn't that hot! The BaByliss 2581U is powered by a Gas cartridge, the cartridges cost around £5 for two, which isn't that cheap as they run out very quickly. You also ..." Read review

babyliss straightners

Advantagescheap

Disadvantagesrip hair out, to long to heat up, uses gas quickly

"You certainly get what you are paying for, very cheap at £20, would not recommend at all. They take quite a while to heat up, needs alot of pressure on the hair as it glids down the hair, or should i say ripes through the hair, pulls on the hair leaving much hair caught in the striaghteners. takes a long time to actually strighten any hair, i only bought them to do my fringe when the family are away camping but got fed up with them, and stayed curly. ..." Babyliss straightener

AdvantagesLight and cheap

DisadvantagesTakes long to warm up, no high temperature, pulls hair

"You would trust this is a good product as the brand is very well known worldwide, but this straightener is not worth buying although its price is quite attractive and its weight average. You should prefer ceramic plates and an appliance enabling you to modify the temperature according to your type of hair. This one has no temperature regulator and it takes quite a while to warm up. Also your hair gets caught and the whole operation is just synonymous ..." Read review

Babyliss straighteners that dont straighten your hair

AdvantagesPortable..

Disadvantagesdoesnt work.. Tesco Value straighteners do a much better job

"these are the worse straighteners I've actually ever owned I was going to go on holiday a and I asked my boyfriend to buy me these, the price seemed OK at the time, it was about £20 but it does not straighten my hair unless I sizzle it for about 20 seconds on each strand.. its terrible.. the Gas cells are also extremely expensive it also kept getting caught in my hair, pulls on your hair, very unsmooth and does not glide, you can imagine the pain! In ..." Read review
