Wow... I found these around a year ago from my crazy days in the 90's when everyone had crimped hair!! To be honest I would only ever use these now for fancy dress which is exactly what I have been doing! The design is very oldschool and I don't think they are too pleasing to the eye. They are really heavy for what a hair styler and come with two sets of 'crimping plates' one quite for quite thin crimps and the other for fat crimps. It was the look of the crimpers that appealed to me being that I was pretty young when I bought them...But they are worthless! Not only do they take a ridiculously long time to heat up because the changable metal plates are so pointlessly thick, but even when they've finally reached their hottest point they still don't work very well, leaving the hair with just a slight wave which actually looks like you've just burnt your hair with hair straighteners...Not a good look! These are so cute.First of all the design appeled to me.I like the fresh bright colours taht make these a bit different.They warm up fast,the plates are big so you can actually straighten more hair with them and that gives incredible results for less time and a lot less effort.The curling plates give nice waves. They are very easy to put on and even with the plates on the straightners warm up vwery well as well.I like the fact that you can achieve different styles with this straightner.You can have straight sleek hair,curly and bouncy or have it straight with a few waves underneath the top ... more
