    Advantages Advantages Convenient, Nice taste.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey.

Bacardi Breezer's are one in a long line of the latest 'Alco pop' trend of drinks. Alco pop being a fizzy sweet drink, by the way. They are made with Bacardi rum and various different flavoured sparkling waters, depending on which colour you are drinking. I am lethal with a bottle of Bacardi in the house, I don't own a set of optics and by the time drink number three was consumed, wouldn't use them anyway. So for this reason Bacardi Breezer's seemed like a good option. Launched in the United Kingdom in 1993 and with an extensive advertising campaign, The Latin Spirit drink soon took off. The ... more

    Advantages Advantages Taste good,Refreshing,light,5.1% alcohol.

Disadvantages Disadvantages I like them too much ;-)

The weather has been fantastic here over last week.28c and sunny most days.People are out drinking in beer gardens and lighting the old BBQ'S up.Think ive been down the local pub each night last week making the most of the fabulous weather.I had a great BBQ Saturday afternoon and it was wonderful just sipping a nice ice cold chilled bacardi breezer while smelling the steak slowly cooking on the bbq. I love my drink and during hot weather,i prefer light drinks that refresh me.I normally drink red wine, but during a heat wave, there is nothing like a chilled lager or a Bacardi Breezer. As you ... more

Advantages Advantages A nice refreshing drink

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Rather too sweet

Admittedly, writing about alcohol is something of a rarity for me. After all, I can’t use it as make-up, bathe in it or read it, so why would I be interested? (LOL) I prefer a cup of tea to booze, to be honest. But sometimes these things just have to be done – a difficult week… moving house… while watching Big Brother… while (until today, grrr) cheering on England in the World Cup… – yep, all these things have happened recently and I deserved an alcoholic treat! Sainsbury’s were selling three packs of Bacardi Breezers for £10 as a special offer ... more

Advantages Advantages lots of tasty flavours to choose from

Disadvantages Disadvantages not all taste alcoholic so you need to be careful not to drink too many

Launched in 1993-4 bacardi breezers are supposedly available in 8 flavours, although as you will see below I haven’t actually managed to find all 8 to try (I almost managed it!) The flavours which (supposedly) exist are: Watermelon, Cranberry, Orange, Lime, Pineapple, Peach, Lemon, Ruby Grapefruit. Each of these comes in a 275ml clear glass bottle with labels bearing the bacardi logo and details of the drink you have chosen. Each drink has its own colour for the labels to go with the colour of the liquid inside. For example, the Cranberry Breezer is a beautiful deep clear red colour (the ... more

Advantages Advantages many flavours, widely available

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be sweet and expensive

Summer is here - and Barcardi Breezer.is the perfect drink to serve chilled at your dusk BBQ‘s! The kind of drink that’s perfect for every occasion; suitable for both men and women, day and night.. (have you noticed I like it yet?!) Anyway, Barcardi Breezer - If you purchase this drink in a club or bar, it can prove quite expensive - at around £2 - £3.50, however if you look around, Local Off Licences often sell it for as little as 99p a bottle. Sainsburys also often has good deals - ‘3 for 2’ and such- so if you’re passing through have a look! Barcardi Breezers can be bought in singles or ... more

    Advantages Advantages Thirsty Work!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not Exactly a Man's Drink.

When Things Backfire! """"""""""""""""""""" I originally wrote this review on Bacardi Breezers as a lighter, fun review concentrating on one specific flavour of the brand. It seems however that, by and large, my stated intention for the review hasn't been understood or has been disregarded. In that perfect thing called hindsight I probably should have put it in the poetry section but there being little use crying over spilt milk I've decided to do a major edit of the product in a more serious note whilst still including my Poetic Tribute to the Watermelon flavour. Alcopops """"""""" Bacardi ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lovely taste, refreshing

Disadvantages Disadvantages Easy to go mad on

I'm on holiday, its warm, it's midday! I think I may just sit and chill with a refreshing Bacardi Breezer. Bacardi Breezer has been about for ten years now, it was launched in 1993 in the UK following success in the USA. Originally marketed as a 'wine cooler' it has since found it's own identity with the 'Latin Spirit for Everyone' marketing slogan. Nowadays Bacardi Breezer is classed as one of the ever growing range of 'alcopops' - a term coined in the mid nineties to describe a drink which is alcoholic but has the qualities of a 'pop' like drink such as those drunk by younger people, sweet ... more

Advantages Advantages Something different, easy to drink, low alcohol level

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not for regular drinkers, not a session drink, too sweet

Having only been launched in the U.K. in 1993, Bacardi Breezer is probably the only drink to have gained so much popularity and market share in such a short period of time. Much of this popularity has been achieved thanks to the remarkable advertising policy, which I am sure that most of us are aware of. The concept of the company was to create a credible alternative to beer. However after having these myself a few times I can tell you with all certainty that this is "No Alternative to Beer". Infact it's no alternative to anything that I can think of. Rather it is something that cannot be ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

With New Year just having gone and my family spending it arguing over Trivial Pursuit whilst downing various different beers, lagers and alcopops I decided to buy myself a bottle of Strawberry flavour Bacardi Breezer. I've had the rum based drink before but in an orange flavour which was pretty much as you'd expect except a little fizzy and so thought I would now try out this version. The colour is very inviting, a vibrant girly red/pink which is very attractive looking and shows off the flavour nicely. I really like strawberries and so thought I couldn't go wrong with this flavour and I was ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap, lots of nice flavours, a fun and fruity alcopop

Disadvantages Disadvantages don't drink too many on an empty stomach!

When I was 18 I was a proper party girl, out every saturday night with the girls drinking lots of cheap alcopops as the alcohol in the club was more than my salary working part time as a cashier in Iceland could stretch to! I have a very memorable recollection of us all getting quite hammered on Bacardi Breezers one saturday night before venturing into Central London to get thrown out as my best mate vomited everywhere from being too intoxicated! Ooops! Bacardi Breezer is an alcopop made from Bacardi Rum and which comes in loads of flavours like blueberry, lime, pineapple, watermelon ... more
