I have recently taken a personal loan with HBoS and I was offered the Preference Account. At first I did not accept, but after getting annoyed at my credit card company (Capital One) I have decided to use it in favour of the credit card. ...are made aware of the interest rates when you apply, if you go a head and use a large chunk/all of the available money then that is entirely your fault, not the banks, so it should not receive a bad review for that reason - i.e. your irresponsbility. I think the Bank of Scotland is great. I am only 15 and I have a Solo which is kind of like a Switch card but its for teenagers and i can't overdraw money. It can be used in a wide range of shops but the only problem is some shops don't accept it and other shops don't believe that it's your own card.
