Advantages A new improved combat system, some challenging puzzles and riddles!
Disadvantages Missing some of the best characters from other Batman games!

BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM There have been a lot of Batman games but most of them seem to never really do well overall but along came this one. Batman Arkham Asylum is a fantastic game and it really shows how good a Batman game can actually turn out. BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM This game begins with a nice stroll through Arkham corridors as you escort the Joker to his cell. But as always Batman is suspicious and isn’t surprised when he breaks his restraints and begins the most epic jailbreak in game history. Within 10 minutes of starting the Joker and his girlfriend Harley Quinn begin to liberate some of Gothams most lethal and crazed baddies. Introduction Batman Arkham Asylum is a action adventure video game that was released in August 2009. It was developed by Rocksteady Studios and released by Eidos Interactive. The last time that we saw a Batman game that was simulator to Arkham Asylum was in 2005 with the game called Batman Begins, that was released for the original Xbox and Playstation 2. This game starts of with an excellent clip of batman escorting the one and only joker back to the Asylum but what seemed strange is that he basically give himself up. As this is the batman we are talking about he has his suspicions and decides to follow the joker as he is getting escorted to his room in the Asylum. On your way to his room you bump into another arch-enemy who is being escorted and this is just the beginning. After all the success the Christoper Nolan movies have had in the last few years it was only a matter of time before the Dark Knight made the leap to your games console. And what a leap it has been! Superhero games have the unfortunate reputation of being terrible games. People didn't think Arkham Asylum would be good but Rocksteady (the developers) assured them this would be different. In Batman Arkham Asylum, you play as Batman. You go to Arkham Island to escort the Joker to his prison cell; little do you know that the Joker is actually luring you into a trap. Once you take him to Arkham Asylum, the Joker gets free and releases all the inmates, and its up to you to stop him. Advantages . Detailed graphics, unique story, and a decent lengthened game. Oh and you play as Batman

Once again, Batman steps from the shadows to deliver a truly enjoyable game. Not being a Batman fanboy, I probably wouldn't usually pick up this kind of game. However, I could see that the graphics were fantastic, the story seemed intriguing and you get to play as Batman himself. Awesome or what? For all the fanboys out there, don't despair, as the producers in the game have included a great deal of detail on the Batman world from the comics. Advantages Truly immersive experience, good combat system, great voice acting
Disadvantages Challenge mode is kind of pointless, Boss battles could have been much challenging

The real test to a game based on a comic book superhero is what do the fanboys make of it. All the fanboys i know have loved it i am so glad they did not make the Dark Knight tie-in as that would have ruined the chances of this game being made, and without this game, my life leading up to Modern Warfare 2 being launched would have been very very very boring. Batman: Arkham Asylum is quite simply the closest you are ever going to get to experiencing what it must be like to be the Dark Knight - and here I have intentionally avoided saying Batman as I want to be clear that in this game you play the truly dark, menacing version of Batman from the Dark Knight comic series. Advantages The graphics and storyline are superb. Relativly long and well structured.
Disadvantages Poor downloadable content, nothing really to makeyou want to play the game again.

I was sceptical about this game when I first bought it, I had high hopes after seeing the trailers. But as a rule, games like this involving superheroes have been quite bad. You should begin this game with an open mind, forget any past perceptions you had of this franchises quite awful predecessors. And begin the game as though, it is a new one.
