We've had our Baxi Bahama for almost 3 years. It supplies 6-7 radiators with ease and due to our very high pressure water, can supply our thermostatic shower during a washing machine fill without much compromise. Our gas bill with this machine dropped by 33% when we ditched our old cast iron hulk, and the paint's peeled off the radiators, 'cos they've never been so HOT! The dust on the pipes under the floors smelled EVER SO cooked for the first week ... ...the absence of the hot water tank, and the header tanks were pulled out of the loft (we have direct supply water, this may not be the case for you, especially in the South of England) Then the gas men cut through the water main in the street, and I was the only person drawing water the day they reconnected the supply. Do not buy the Baxi Potterton 105e - trust me, ive got one and im about to rip it out. All Baxi 105e's should be taken to your nearest neighbour with an untaxed car ... that way DVLC will take it away and crush it for free. It is a very unreliable boiler. Plumbers recommend it because its easy for them to fit. This boiler is prone to problems that cost a small fortune to diagnose and a greater fortune to fix. Baxi customer service and backup is non-existent ... ...and complicated to use.This boiler keeps a vast population of gas repair fitters in work ... so do not buy his boiler unless you wish to assist adding to the already high level of unemployment in the building industry! Buy an Italian or German Boiler as Baxi is a rip-off. ...

I had a Baxi boiler installed in summer 2005, I now sit with it broken for the 2nd time in 2 years!!! The first time it was only 13mths old...3 mths after the 1 year warenty ran out of course, I shall be writing a very crappy letter to them in the morning as I suffer my 2nd morning without being able to wash!!!!! The plumber that came to fix said it is a curcuit board and that Baxi's are second rate appliences! ...

We have had a Baxi Bermuda Combi Boiler for 8 years and it has proved to be one of the one unreliable disasters I've ever bought.
Breaks down on average three times a year and every part in it has been replaced at least once. Common problems are intermittent hot water followed by no hot water at all. The contractors who I buy breakdown cover from are making a massive loss out of me.
If I could afford it I would replace it now! ...

We were pleased with our Baxi boiler at first. It supplied rads for a four-bed house and lots of instant hot water. Then after 10 months it kept switching off and asking to be reset. Luckily we were still within our 12 month warranty. Baxi's Heat Team plumber had the part in his hand before he even rang the doorbell. It was a rubber seal, which he explained kept breaking on these models. It was a design fault.

...facts. I bought a Baxi combination boiler thinking that Baxi was a good make and based on their reputation. It had a one year guarantee: it broke down after 14 months. I used a CORGI registered engineer to repair the boiler but Baxi are offering me no explanation as to why it broke down after only 14 months and are offering no goodwill. Baxi now tell me that the circuit board has a diagnostic computer in it - who but a Baxi engineer would have one? ...

Had a new baxi solo boiler installed at the cost of about 3K a few months ago ,its been very noisy and now had about 10 different engineers around to try and fix it ,after a long battle they agreed to install a new one .
