4 Stars Not one, not two, but 3. Verrucas are gone! Review with images 31/01/2007

    Advantages Advantages Eventually works.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes a long time.

I have always prided myself on having nice feet. Well, within reason. They are your average size 6 and whilst not outstandingly attractive (because feet aren`t), they have always been in good condition. My mum has frequent visits from the podiatrist to treat corns, hard skin, calluses etc. I had never had any problems with mine. I could never really understand how people could require so much podiatry input (she is not the only one). I don`t paticularly look after my feet, just apply some lotion occassionally, I can wear any shoes I like (occassionally) and consistently have no problems, until ... more

Advantages Advantages It works! Pain free, not overly expensive, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can take a while (up to 12 weeks), draws attention to wart

Towards the end of last year I was in the rather embarrassing position of having developed a wart on the top of my index finger. I'd never had one before, and wasn't even too sure what it was, but it seemed to be getting slightly larger and a bit unsightly so I braved a visit to Boots to speak to the pharmacist. I spoke to the pharmacist (typically, as soon as I started speaking to her a big queue formed behind me so everyone was listening to my predicament!). She confirmed that it was a wart, apparently the way to tell is that the edges are jagged like a cauliflower. She made me feel slightly ... more

1 Star Bazuka to Bazuka! Review with images 24/12/2006
    User doesn't recommend the product

    Advantages Advantages None so far!

Disadvantages Disadvantages After 4 months the wart still hasn't gone, it's expensive & very obvious white gel!

I have NEVER had a wart before but way back in January or February I fell and got a nasty cut on my hand which didn't appear to be healing as quickly as the other cuts on my hand. It became quite hard and unsightly and I just assumed that it was that due to my skin getting older it just wasn't healing as quickly as it should have done. It was only after a visit to my doctors for something else that I quickly pointed out my hand. She instantly said that it was a wart. Horrified that I had a wart on my hand I asked her to zap it but was disappointed that she said she couldn't and I had to go and ... more

Advantages Advantages zaps those unsightly warts

    Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive

My 8 year old complained about a spot on his foot recentley, infact he said "mum I have a cabbage growing out of my foot". Schools have just gone back for the new term, surely he hasn't got a dreaded walt on his foot already? None of my three kidlets have ever had one of these veruca thingeys so I didnt know for sure if it was. I checked out all the relevant medical sites and looked for pictures in my medical book. As the prints are black and white, they were really as helpful as a choclate tea pot. I remembered the advert for "Bazuzka That Veruca" with the child coming out of the swimming ... more

    Advantages Advantages effective wart/verruca/corn/callus treatment

Disadvantages Disadvantages doesn't make you more sexually attractive (oh well)

Verrucas, warts, corns and calluses. Not really topics to bring up at the dinner table, are they? Bazuka gel promises to banish these unsightly blemishes and leave you with handsome hands, fine feet and terrific toes that Fergie would have pleasure sucking. Bazuka comes in a diddy little 5g tube, and you won't get much change from a fiver. However, it's not as much of a rip off as you'd imagine, as a little tube goes a long way. While I was in Boots the other day I also noticed that you can buy extra strong Bazuka for a similar price. Anyway, for those not in the know, warts and verrucas are ... more

4 Stars BAZUKA EXTRA STRENGTH GEL Review with images 10/09/2005
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Easy to apply, no plasters, 33% efficiency.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cost, air pressure, no way to guage effectiveness

INTRODUCTION Unclean, unclean. At least that is how I feel when those horrible little dots, known affectionately as warts and verrucas, appear on my hands or feet. Quite why I am getting them at my age is baffling, but they are sprouting and annoying me no end. (It feels extremely strange writing about some personal medical ailment and I hope you are not eating whilst reading, if so I apologise!) I have tried a number of "miracle" solutions in the past, liquid and the freeze spray, none of which worked particularly well. After seeing an advert on TV for Bazuka Gel, I decided that I would ... more

Advantages Advantages Very effective, easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A long haul

My son had acquired a rather ugly looking wart on his finger a few months ago, of which he is not impressed and demanded that I 'get rid of it immediately'. Whilst I explained that a miracle cure is not possible, I trotted off to Tescos to see what they had for such as a problem. I was handed a box which contained a tube of Bazuka gel and trundled back home with it in the hope it worked and put a smile back on my 6 year olds face. ~The product~ The white 5g tube is a lot smaller than I expected and it wasn't exactly cheap either for what I got. It has a long green lid which has a piercer to ... more

    Advantages Advantages Quick-acting

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't look great if used on hands

In my pre-pubescent years, before the perpetual head-screwing of puberty, I was utterly obsessed with sports. At 4 years old I wanted to be an Olympic swimmer. At 9, I aspired to be the next Linford Christie (would’ve been a rather large transition really!) and sprint to glory on the track. I even flirted with a career as a rugby player, but that was far too dirty for my liking! I eventually fell into tennis playing, and continued until a couple of years ago when teenage life caught up on me and I no longer had any aspirations to be a sports star. What does this have to do with Bazuka ... more

Advantages Advantages Effective and very easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow process

Bazuka Gel is very useful I think to clear up warts, verrucas, corns or calluses. The name verruca is actually a word for a wart on the sole of the foot. My experience of Bazuka gel is for clearing up verrucas. The tube of Bazuka gel comes in a very handy 5g size and contains the following 2 active ingredients: 1) Salicylic Acid (12%) 2) Lactic Acid (4%) All these other ingredients are inactive: Camphor, Proxylin, Ethanol, and Ethyl Acetate. Our son suffered from verrucas for quite a while and we decided to buy Bazuka gel from the chemist on their recommendation. The pharmacist was very ... more

Advantages Advantages Effective treatment for warts and verruca's

Disadvantages Disadvantages A strong pungent smelling gel

Warts and verruca’s are unpleasant viral growths on the skin and feet which are spread as an infection. I have found that one of the best ways to treat this health problem of the skin is to use something called Bazuka treatment gel. I think most people will have seen the TV adverts with the advertising phrase, “Bazuka that verruca!” which is very catchy. I recently purchased Bazuka gel from Tesco to deal with a wart on my hand and it cost me £4.49 for a 6g tube of the treatment. The Bazuka treatment gel which I bought comes in a red coloured box, as opposed to the purple one featured in the ... more
