Advantages: Expands up and out; 'Red' clip means younger children can sit safely without a five point harness Disadvantages: As with any seat using a normal fitted seat belt, you do have to lean across the child to fasten the belt.
...to be this innovatively designed Bebe Confort Hipsos with its red clip securing the belt against the seat just over the child's shoulder making it much harder for a child to outmaneouvre himself. A Peter Jones assistant (and I do like the way that JL stores have a car seat in situ on which to try out the seats) was happy to demonstrate how the seat worked and even revealed that this model reclines a little with the help of two levers on the side.

Advantages: Spacious Disadvantages: its really good
This car seat has got loads of room for you child! It seats your child in so no slip up where he/she can crawl or wriggle out! It supports there head with a cushon at coth sides so if theres a car crash you child can't get damaged! Back comfy seated pads and even a arm rest for your child so your child comfy along the whole journey! There is a seat belt to easily hassle free tuck them in there seat! The seatbelt is wide but your could not find it ... ...I would recommend the chair for the ages between 3 to 5 years old! It is grately padded in most places so that your child would love the seat! The chair is easy to clean you can get down the sides and eveywhere! The chair is extremly safe so theres no need to worry! The value for money is great! you can get the car seat from HALFORDS! ...

Advantages: Adjustable shoulder clip for seatbelt Disadvantages: Quite tall for younger children
With our youngest rapidly growing out of his rear-facing seat, we decided that he should graduate into his (15 months) older sister's seat, and that we'd buy a new seat for her that would last a few years.
Having taken a look at a number of models, we decided on the Hipsos for a number of reasons. Firstly, it appeared the most comfortable, particularly with the padded side headrests. It had also faired well in the safety test we read, and the back ... ...it as a booster cushion when she gets older.
However, probably the biggest differentiator for us with the adjustable shoulder clip, which can be swapped to whichever side it's needed. This slides so that it sits just above the childs shoulder, and then clips onto the main seatbelt to hold it tight. This means that the belt can always be kept at the correct tightness for the child and, more importantly, at the correct height. This is especially pertinent ...
