    Ill really doesn’t cover how I have been feeling of late, in the past six weeks I’ve gone from stomach upset, cold which then turned into a throat and chest infection and had to go into hospital due to low oxygen levels. Then I was feeling semi normal again and now back with a head cold. Needless to say I’ve tried many concoctions in order to become well again!     Greetings fellow Ciao reviewers in the community! I'm on a role with medicinal reviews so here is another one for ya! Seeing as how the cold and flu season is upon us, many of my friends (on Ciao and others) have been off sick with the flu or a small cold. I myself have been the unfortunate victim of the flu and desperately needed something to relieve my symptoms. Now normally, I’d take those disgusting hot Lemsip drinks that looked awful and tasted worse, no matter how much sugar you dumped in them.     Having flu's and colds is never fun. In the past week I had either a cold/flu (to me I felt like I was dying lol) and I had a migraine I couldn't shift, ached all over, kept going hot and then cold and an ear infection which makes my jaw, neck and whole of both of my ears hurt! Add all that on top of my usual health conditions including M.E (Chronic Fatigue) I have been than a tad more than cheesed off.     I decided to visit my parents last week and was really looking forward to spending some girly time with my mum. However, when I got home I found her dozing on the sofa, with a box of tissues beside her, sporting a heavy cold. Of course, my mum was feeling generous with her germs and a couple of days later I started to feel a bit lethargic, my head was slightly muggy and I could feel the sniffles coming on.     With the sudden change in weather this week, I have gotten an early cold, and normally I do not suffer from them until the end of the year. Having noticed the early symptoms such as a sore head, sniffles and sore eyes etc and temperature, I went to the pharmacy to see what medicine was on offer. I wanted to go for a good, well known brand and so, when I saw this Beechams box I decided to go for this. I did sway between this and their blackcurrant drink method but I find the drinks never do anything for me whereas caplets seem to be more effective.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Don't make a huge difference to symptoms

    I don't like paying over the odds for the latest flu tablets that claim to do everything, finding that more often than not they're not the miracle cure I was hoping for. Beechams Flu Plus aren't going to make the nastiness go away, but they do help to ease it at a reasonable price. Beechams is an established, popular brand with lots of experience in the cold/flu area, so I trust them to make at least reasonably efficient products.     When I suffer with colds, I like a remedy that treats all symptoms and, if possible, one that is easy to take on the go. When I saw these Beechams Flu Plus Caplets, they seemed the perfect remedy for me so I purchased a packet of 24 caplets for £4.99 from Boots. The caplets are said to ‘provide rapid and effective relief from the major cold and flu symptoms’. The caplets come in a bright red box with a dark blue band around the top.     That's it, I have finally succumbed and bought some Beechams Flu Plus Caplets upon the recommendation of a friend. The sneezing started 3 days ago and the combination of a runny and blocked nose a day later but when the thumping headache started yesterday I gave in and what a relief these tablets have been. I haven't got a sore throat although my glands are up but the tight knot in my chest and the occasional 'flemmy' cough are very much apparant..........what an attractive picture of myself I am painting!     I don't like being sick, but diseases like me. when I came to London this summer, it was a little too "cold" for me. So I had to take something to make me stay well. In Italy we have kind of caplets called "Tachipirina", that contain paracetamol as active principle. So I decided to buy those caplets. They promised to cure Fever, Aches and pains, sinus pain, blocked nose, headache, and to be not drowsy.
