I think it's inevitable that given the publicity she receives it would be hard not to know that Katie Price is actually the glamour model AKA Jordan. Not only is Katie Price a rather successful glamour model but she is also a successful businesswoman, author and of course wife of Peter Andre & mother to Harvey & Junior. Maybe though, we shouldn't ... ...With a reputation for being somewhat of a wild child, I hoped this book would make for interesting reading and provide an insight into the life of Jordan, celebrityville, how she feels when she is called an unfit mother and generally give her side of all the negative and positive press attention she has received in the past. Advantages: Gives an insight into the 'glamour modelling' world. Good photos. Easy to read. Disadvantages: Scanty on any new revelations.
...sources. I could see this being a necessary part of a fan's memorabilia, but for me being interested in the more human side of her, it fell short of the mark. Overall my feelings are, that whilst this provides a fairly good and interesting read, it's mostly a rehash of what's already been written about many times before. I believe it's an attempt at altering the public's image of her, with the result that records she is trying to set straight are ... ...that I finished the book being only a little wiser, and at RRP £7.99, I would have been miffed if I'd personally paid that price. A continuation of her autobiography has recently been released called 'A Whole New World' which takes her life-story to the present day. Maybe in the latest addition to her autobiography more of her 'openness' will be displayed? I for one will not be paying for the 'privilege', but if a copy should accidentally fall into ...

Advantages: Can be bought cheaply Disadvantages: No real insight into her life
...work of literature. That being the case, it's a great read. It's written in the language of the tabloids, which is to say in pretty simple language. It's the closest you can come to having a no-brainer in a book.
When somebody lives their life very much in the public eye, or in the pages of the tabloids, you have to expect that much of their life will have already been published elsewhere. But you would hope that when they do come to tell their ... ...completely one sided, with Jordan being the victim and making out that the only thing she has ever done wrong is to make a few unwise choices.
The whole thing is wildly self indulgent and strangely lacking in emotion. Sure, we're hearing all about Jordan's love, or at least sex, life but there's little that involves you in the story. You can't really get emotionally involved when she falls in love and it's virtually impossible to feel her pain when ...

...the window, a copy of Being Jordan by none other than Katie Price. I knew this book had only been out a short time so just had to go in and purchase it for, wait for it …….. £1.50.
After reading the reviews on Ciao for this book and now owning a copy for myself, I decided to write an opinion of my own. I hope you enjoy it, I am trying not to give too much away.
WHO IS THIS BOOK ABOUT?
Katie Price aka JORDAN., the Brighton Belle who appeared in ... ...IS SHE FAMOUS FOR?
She’s not well known for her brains and she’s certainly no scientist. What Jordan does best is take her clothes off, sleep with half of England and have her boobs blown up to over sized proportions.
Jordan began her modelling in humble beginnings, for a pair of paedophiles. Unwittingly she posed for months near naked whilst only a young girl. Eventually she was spotted by Sam Bond and the Sun took on her by chance as a page 3.

Here you will find my opinion on every aspect of the book from the way it is written, how many secrets are revealed and what I now think after reading it, just to give you the best idea of how much you think you'll enjoy it. 1) The Way It Is Written.
The book is separated into 34 chapters. Some are only a couple of pages ... ...through the book. With it being an Autobiography, the writing wasn't done by Katie herself but it didn't show that it wasn't Katie writing. There were a few swear words in there but nothing over the top I don't think. The writing in it isn't too small and I like the photographs that are added too although when reading the book I did get frustrated because you'd get to the bottom of the page, turn over and there would be 4 pages of photographs before ...

I bought this book on Ebay (for about a fifth of the RRP £16.99!) after reading mixed reviews, and figured I'd just have to find out for myself if this book was all it was made out to be. I personally have always found Katie Price, aka Jordan quite intriguing. I've watched many documentaries about her, gaining a brief insight into her life and they have always shown her in a good light. After watching an episode of the most recent television programme ... ...shown on ITV2, I finally decided I should definitely read this book. 'Being Jordan' is the first of her two autobiographies and I found it an extremely compelling read. If you're looking for a book that is intellectually stimulating , then this probably isn't for you. She claims to she hatched a plan to prove his infidelity by arranging with her best pal at the time, a threesome. Secretly she hoped that Gary would refrain from getting involved. Infact it was the opposite and after her “mate” gave Gary some lip action on his under carriage, that Katie who was watching, finally came to the conclusion he was no good and that was the end of him.

Being a fan of autobiographies and recently joining the online library readitswapit.co.uk I was longing to get hold of this book and find out who the real person is Katie as she claims she really is or is her personality more of Jordan's?
Many people talk about Katie Price in the form of Jordan making out how vile she is for being a Glamour model at such a young age and making offensive comments, I on the other hand wanted to know what made Katie ... ...how did she change from being just a Glamour Model and what's more how did she get to where she is today? Being Jordan is the insight into all the stories that have ever been written about her and the story about her life her ups and downs and mistakes that have left her with much sadness.

...lot better when she's not being Jordan.
It did change my view of her somewhat, she didn't seem so much the talentless bimbo that she has created for herself, and her frank discussions about her exes and their relationships really opened my eyes to her, although there is still that small doubt that This is just a publicity shot for her.
Overall, I can't understand her doing an autobiography at 25 though, she has barely lived, and no doubt that in ...

Advantages: It's an easy read and there are lots of pics if you like her Disadvantages: It's a waste of time reading it
...But on a literary level, Being Jordan - perhaps unsurprisingly - falls short. It is not exactly badly written, but I felt it could have been written by a sixteen year old. Then again, that's probably the age of the target audience, after all.
The book chronicles her life from childhood, includes her school days, her early modelling career and then focuses on a series of highly publicized relationships, often with other celebrities - footballer Dwight ... ...give an impression of her being cheap and tarty. I don't think she could see these two sides as being contradictory, but it certainly seemed obvious to me.
When my daughter asked what I thought of the book, I tried to explain it to her. I summarized Being Jordan as "I went out with X and he really hurt me. I didn't know how I would ever get over him. So I went out and met Y and he was lovely. Then Y really hurt me, I didn't know how I would ever ...

...to be when she is being a topless model or hosting a chat-show etc. The book is very well written and gives a great insight in to the early life of Katie as well as when she first met her husband Peter Andre on 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' Katie is not ashamed of her life and will tell you things about herself that a lot of people would definitely want to keep to themselves. There are quite a few touching subjects spoken about in this book ... ...Prices' anyway and thoroughly enjoyed being able to learn more about her earlier years and what really happened when she met her husband as well as her past relationships. Katie is very frank and talks very openly and honestly about things that have gone on in her life and her relationships with Gareth Gates & Dwight Yorke and how she felt when those ended. ...all loved the thought of being with a glamour model but couldnt take to the line of work she had to do.
The men of her life either used her or abused her - the majority of them turning against her as the relationship developed and trying to turn her away from pursuing the career she loved.
Its not a book full of sex, but a book that examines her life and her feelings - the feelings she has for her family and the moments of hell she has put them ... ...life and most of all the intense love she has for her son.
Its a book that showed me never to believe anything the press has to say about people - she is not a sex mad airheaded bimbo or an easy lay - but someone who has incredible strength and determination - someone who has feelings and has allowed men to walk all over her -someone who is prepared to give her all to a relationship only to get nothing in return.
So pick it off the book shelf - ...

I have to admit that up until this year, I had paid very little attention to Jordan when I saw her in the papers and on TV, thinking that she was just another 'one of those' models. I had heard gossip because, let's admit it, whether you like her or not, it is near impossible to avoid hearing about Jordan, Harvey and Peter. When I started watching the Katie and Peter Diaries on TV, I saw a different side of Jordan, namely Katie, and wanted to know ... ...was perfect for that. Written in a straightforward and extremely honest stlye, this autoboigraphy allows Katie Price to get her story told, to put right all the rumours about her as a model, girlfriend and mother. I was shocked to hear about the dangerous situation she found herself in at a young age with a perverted photographer and respected her more for the way that she handled it and did not allow it to stop her from chasing her dreams.

I was pleased to receive this book as a Christmas present as I have always been sort of (not at all) interested in Jordan. The only reason I was pleased to receive it was because I want to see what she has to say and if it changes my opinion on her. The book costs from around £11 to £20 depending where you go. Mine is a hardback copy 277 pages divided into 34 chapters. The book starts with Jordan (oops I mean Katie) talking about her family and her ... ...then goes on to tell how she made her way up the ladder in glamour modelling.
Then about her boob jobs explaining why she had them. She mentions kiss and tells done by ex-boyfriends and her relationships with Ralf Schumacher, Ace from Gladiators and Teddy Sheringham which aren't really thrilling chapters. 'Being Jordan' contains a few pages of photos in it, I would have preferred it if as it went on there were photos, for example when she was 16 ...
