Advantages: User friendly, works very well Disadvantages: Not high-tech enough for some, noisy spin
...my first impression of the Beko WMA 520 S machine. The dimensions of it are 60cm x 54cm x 85cm (width x depth x height) and it stands upright. It is a medium sized machine and it fit neatly under the kitchen worktop. Like most washing machines it is very heavy (a net weight of 67kg) and watching my husband trying to lift it into place was painful! Once it had been installed (instructions for the installation process are included) I could really have ... ...A fully automatic machine, it has a clear plastic front door, surrounded with silver plastic on which the handle is fitted. It is easy to open, you simply press your fingers behind the handle and it releases the catch. This door opens to the drum of the machine which can fit 5kg of dry fabric inside. A reasonable capacity used in most modern washing machines. It was then that I remembered the backlogue of soiled garments hidden in the laundry basket ...

Advantages: Fast, reliable, cheap Disadvantages: none that i have found
I purchased my silver Beko washing machine in April this year as me and my fiance had just purchased our first house together and wanted a machine that offered good value for money, got the job done and matched the other appliances we had already bought for our kitchen. As we had already bought a Beko fridge freezer in silver i decided to see what washing machines this company also had on offer so that the colour of the appliances would be exactly ... ...was where i purchased my Beko fridge freezer and i spotted the WMA520s which had a low price and was also quite an attractive appliance as far as washing machines go.

Beko WMA520 Washing Machine.
We brought this Freestanding Front loader washing Machine from Comet some several months ago, for approximately £200.00.
It's looks blended in perfectly with my minimumlistic approach to décor, in a clean fresh overall white colour, it fitted in just right.
After removing the three transit brackets at the rear of the machine, Installation only took minutes, not much more than a simple DIY job performed by my Husband, ... ...machine, it did help however that the plumbing was already there from the previous washing machine, it's a cold water only feed, so only a single pipe to connect. We have a connection outlet on our sinks waste trap, where we were able to connect the water outlet pipe to with a du clip, but of course this can also be dropped into a fixed outlet pipe in the normal manner. I now cater for a Family of 5 from trendy teenagers to my 80 year old Nan, and ...

Quick review of Beko WMA520
This machine takes a long time to wash a load. The washing does come out clean, but it does not rinse well at all. I always have to use the extra rinse facility and have to do an empty boil wash once a month at least to keep it free from soap.
A very cheap machine, but in my opinion, not a good buy. ...

Advantages: Thourough wash cycle Disadvantages: Very long cycle times. Drum rubs off door seal creating a 'burning rubber' smell
We purchased this machine about 10 weeks ago, at first I noticed a strange smell coming from the machine when in use. I put this down to the newness of the product. However, last week while working near the machine we became very aware of the same very distinctive smell (like someone skidding their car tyres)but much more intense. After a minute the room began to fill with what I could only describe as 'smoke'. We turned the machine off and when ... ...belched out. All the washing in the machine smelt of smoke and had to be washed over again. When I phone the number on the guarantee, I was immediately told that this was 'just' the drum rubbing off the door seal, they would order a new one to be fitted. Having now had my new door seal fitted I had hoped that this would would be an end to the problem. After 3 days of normal use I have began smelling the burning rubber again. Whilst I had been very ...

Advantages: It runs from cold water, hows that for energy efficiency? Disadvantages: Its obvious design fault, and Running times are too long!
...purchased a new one, the BEKO WMA 520W.
For 18 months it was used daily, and ran fine... However, a manufacturing design fault caused us some stress. The drum is encased in plastic to prevent water from flooding your house (fair enough)... But the fatel flaw? The concrete block at the base is bottled from beneath to the plastic casing. After months of the drum and casing wrattling around, the bolt losened and the concrete block bounced, eventually ...

Advantages: Small footprint, colour is nice Disadvantages: Cheap build, unstable
We got this machine because of the silver sparkle colour, big mistake. The fittings are very flimsy, the washing machine jumps around, the buttons are very slack and plasticky. Best to pay a little extra and get a bit of quality.
The machine washed OK, there were no issues there other than having to hold the machine in place because it was so unstable. The buttons were all wobbly and very plasticky, no quality thrown in whatsoever. The powder drawer ...
