Since LCD screens flooded in to dominate the monitor market, I've remained a steadfast CRT fan and LCD skeptic . An interesting thing I found out was that there are actually three main kinds of screens used in LCD monitors - TN, which is the most common, used in the vast majority of consumer-grade LCD monitors, S-IPS, which is an older standard, better quality than TNs mostly, but getting rarer, and PVA/MVA.
