I recently bought a Belkin wireless adaptor when I went into a house share and needed to have the internet. I use the internet but I know little about the technical side of things. I paid £19.99 for the adaptor in PC world who only had Belkin at the time which I thought was not expensive. However installing it was a nightmare. Disadvantages: Temperamental Software, Stand Falls Over - Installation hit & miss

I currently have 3 of these adapters installed at my home connecting 3 PC's wirelessly to a BT Voyager2500V Router. ...we went for wireless card. The Belkin USB Network Adapator, fails to impress as a secondary option on the less used computer. It never automatically detects upon start up, it usually takes three or four attempts (unplugging and replugging) to actually detect our network. Other computers on the network, with internal cards have no problem with detecting and getting us online straight away, but the belkin usb network adapter just doesn't appear ... Read review

...256mb of RAM, but the belkin wireless program takes often more than 2 or 3 minutes to start up when I turn the computer on, which for a single startup program, is hopeless. Small price to pay though, you may be thinking, for fast wireless internet access, but this is where it really goes wrong. I had a laptop on which the internal wireless adapter kept dropping the connection, so I thought I would buy one of these to "replace" it. I use the Belkin USB wireless network adapter for my old laptop so my wife and I can use the internet, share files and print documents. my router is 63 feet away from my pc and in the way is 2 plaster walls and 3 concrete walls, and im a storey up. im on 128kbps connection and i download at around 45kbps, so hey cant complain. i found this hardware easy to install, and im not the greatest of tech-heads. everything was well explained and within minutes (would have been seconds but my CD drives dodgy) my pc was "aquiring the network address" and i was connected. my singal is low, ... The Belkin wireless g usb network adapter is a great way to connect to the wireless router as the adapter is light and small so can fit in any usb port without being squashed, the software is so easy to install and very clear of what you have to do and how to control it. what i liked about it: -The size is brilliant as it fits anywhere - it's very stylish and sleek and can be unnoticed - very fast and can pick up internet signal fast - easy to use ... Sorry about the ridiculously bad title. I've had this thing for about a year now. I had no clue about these things as I had not had wireless internet beforehand. I payed £25 for mine (I think) and it is the 54mbps version. So.... *+*+*SETUP*+*+* The adaptor comes in a little box with a set of very un-useful instructions, and and installation disc, fair enough. After struggling through their website and using their online support system where you can talk to a person using instant messenging (very good service but problem no solved) I managed to find a driver. Disadvantages: so far i have not been able to find any disadvantages with this particular product

...the software and worked immediately. The belkin software is good for configuring the adapter but unneccesary with more wireless routers as it picks up the signal with the help of windows anyway. the product is small and has a stand so it can be conveiniently stored out of the way and out of sight.
