The thought of having wireless appealed to me for quite a while, primarily as a way of transferring files in an ad-hoc network. ...same time i brought the Belkin Router, Immediatly after unpacking the device, the Poor Quality stood out. The Stand that the Adapter plugs into is very cheap and made of light platic with no solid base. This makes it fall over easily and move all over the table. The network utilty had a very poor interface, Crashed often and often reported that the adapter was not connected to the network when in fact it was as i could transfer data successfully. ...

At first it was incredubully frustrating. Then I was able to get the windows wireless network utility working with it and suddenly it was 1000000 times more reliable. Sometimes you have to reboot before you can use the adaptor again after unplugging it, but after a quick reboot, it is working fine again. Speed is fine, obvioustly not as fast as cable, but it does the job for downloading large files. The base is cheap and plasticy and it falls over ...
