IT'S ALL SUSANLESLEY'S FAULT

Advantages: You can call it a real ice cream
Disadvantages: Expensive

...noticed a special offer on Ben & Jerry’s ice cream range of buy two for £5. I believe they normally retail around the £3.30 mark, or so. Despite that, I still resisted what I thought was still an excessive price, despite all the good reviews I read about their products. Cue, literally, the following day, and Susan comes up with an opinion about their caramel chew chew variety, siting exactly the same offer aforementioned. Susan’s op ...
...in this weather. Ben & Jerry pride themselves on using the most natural ingredients possible, with rich, wholesome lashings/fillings of whatever the ice cream concerned is, be it chocolate, biscuits, caramel and so on. I have no quarrels with them there. The helpings in each variety were certainly the best I’ve had up till now, and I have tasted many brands in the past to justify that statement. The ice cream was smooth, milky, rich in texture ...

Oral pleasure with a winning BJ

Advantages: Chocolate Heaven
Disadvantages: Fat girlfriend from hell

It all happened one lazy autumn Sunday evening, the agenda was set, lounging around in our student squalor, with the comedy genius that is Eddy Izzard to keep us entertained on the VCR. As I ventured out our kitchen on the prowl for some sweet matter to occupy my taste buds for the duration, the signs weren’t good, a jam sandwich was the best offering I could muster, but it would have to suffice. As I completed the sarny and slapped the top ...
...of mould dotted artistically across the surface. Even my student hygiene carefree instinct could not overcome this fungal obstacle, so I decided to bight the bullet and trek the whole 20 meter walk to the chocolate playground that is Ali’s newsagents. On entering I was greeted by the difficult decision of which one of these colourful hopefuls I should take home for a sticky night of pleasure. While debating this matter, a mysterious magnetic ...

Mmmmmmmm.... chocolate

Advantages: Luxury, chocolate and brownie bits
Disadvantages: cost

...but I deserve it! Ben and Jerry's comes in a cardboard pot containing 500ml of ice cream. I like the cardboard containers, as they feel more luxurious and special than plastic containers. It makes me feel like I am treating myself more. Half of the tub is filled with lovely pictures of chocolate fudge brownies, giving you an idea of the joys you are in for! Below the pictures, the flavour is written on a purple background. Easy to spot in the freezer! ...
...no exception, it was very creamy and very chocolatey. Definitely for eating with your eyes shut, so that nothing interrupts the intensity of the chocolate! I have never been a big fan of Ben and Jerry's, I usually prefer Hagen Daas, but this one has my thumbs up. ...

The Virgin's Choice

Advantages: Everything except the price!
Disadvantages: The Price!

Ben and Jerry are the single most fantastically great people ever to walk the face of this earth. They are saviours to dumped women and ice-cream obsessives everywhere, and I bow down to their magnificence. I have been hoping and praying for a Food category on Ciao ever since I arrived here, just so I could spread the good word, and finally, after all this time… it appears! For the uninitiated, Ben and Jerry started making ice cream in their ...
...often contains walnuts, although the Ben and Jerry version is nut-free) that has a soft gooey centre. The major appeal to me of this ice cream is ‘discovering’ the bits of brownies as you eat. The smallish pieces are definitely big enough to be easy to taste, but are small enough so bits can get hidden in a spoonful of the rich chocolate ice cream. You do have to have a lot of self control not to dig out all of the brownies bits though! ...

Constant Cravings

Advantages: Delicious, chocolate, brownies
Disadvantages: You have to be joking!

...cravings have recently turned to Ben and Jerry’s chocolate fudge brownie ice cream. I can, obviously never resist anything containing chocolate and this product looked as though it might contain enough to keep the cravings at bay for at least a 24 hour period. Sorry, folks I don't like this one at all

Advantages: Good quality being Ben and Jerrys
Disadvantages: The taste is far too strong

...an offer on cartons of Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream at ‘Buy two for £5’. That’s got the special offer information in early then – you knew it would be there somewhere didn’t you? The normal price for this ice cream is just over £3 for a 500ml tub, so this was a decent offer. I had never tried Ben and Jerry’s before despite reading many positive opinions about it and seeing on sale at various cinemas and supermarkets. The two flavours that I chose ...

I used to dislike ice cream!

Advantages: SEE REVIEW
Disadvantages: SEE REVIEW.

Ben & Jerry's Dairy Ice Cream, Chocolate Fudge Brownie You would have rarely seen me eating ice cream. My parents used to take me to ice cream parlours when I was a child, for most children it would be a dream come true... for me it was a bloody nightmare! I never enthusiastic about going, however, all the family seemed to be rather excited to tuck into different flavoured ice cream with fancy decorations and juices! Ice cream is typically eaten ...

Taste The Ben & Jerry's Dairy Chocolate Fudge Brownie tastes wonderful, and definitely a lot better then what I thought, I always presumed it would be another overrated product that everyone seems to jabber on about, however when I had my first spoon of the ice cream I was rather impressed I must say! It’s very chocolaty (which for me is an extremely good element... I love chocolate) and the fudge really compliments the chocolate very well. ...

Chocolately Heaven Part Two

Advantages: Chocolate (again;+) and those scrummy fudge brownie pieces.
Disadvantages: The price.

...that it comes. Yes, Ben and Jerry have come up tops with yet another fantastically flavoured ice cream offering. All Ben and Jerry's ice cream's are made in the USA and this particular one is an orgasmic combination of chocolate ice cream with chunks of chocolate brownie thrown in. These brownie pieces, despite the fact that they are in the middle of ice-cream, are not hard, in fact they are very moist and absolutely lip-smackingly gorgeous. Chocolate ...

Oh how I wish I could eat this now

Advantages: see op
Disadvantages: none well it is ice cream

...so what better flavour of Ben & Jerry's Ice cream (or any other make) to buy than this one? For me this comes a close second to The Full Vermonty but apart from that there isn't one. I only bought it because my local supermarket was selling it at £1.99 and it usually retails at £3.99 or thereabouts and so this was indeed a bargain at half price. The tub says "the chocolate creation in this carton is downright decadent. We splurge on diary ice cream ...
...chocolate ice cream uncommonly tempting. Then we pack the carton, top to bottom, with extravagant chunks of thick, fudgy brownies." Which to me makes it sound like its worth a taste or two! The Fudge Brownie pieces are just irresistible and they simply melt in your mouth, what with the combination of the brownie and the ice cream it's truly magical. The fudge brownie pieces start form the first spoonful and I would say that you would find it very ...

Slips down easy

Advantages: Tastes great
Disadvantages: Can pile on the pounds

...one of my favourites is Ben and Jerry’s chocolate fudge brownie. Any Ben and Jerry product will do at a pinch, but this one is definitely close to the top of my shopping list. It’s a delicious, creamy chocolate ice cream, with little chunks of chocolate fudge brownie mixed all the way through. The taste is rich and creamy, and the smoothness of the ice cream is offset beautifully by the small, soft segments of chocolate fudge brownies. ...
...hard. Competitors to Ben and Jerry would include Haggen Daz and Carte D’or. I do like both of these, but Ben and Jerry would most definitely be my favourite. If you enjoy the Chocolate Fudge Brownie, then you can go on and try out some of their other delicious varieties. They have a strange, and rather rude sounding variety called ‘phish’. I haven’t tried this yet, but hope it doesn’t taste like it sounds. And their ...

Chocolate Fudge Brownie: Chocolate Fudge Wow-me

Advantages: Luxurious chocolately ice cream
Disadvantages: Expensive

Ben & Jerry's is a luxury ice cream brand sold in the major supermarkets and many cinemas and other concession stands. I've tried a few flavours, as well as trying other brands and the B&Js Chocolate Fudge Brownie is the only ice cream I ever buy now. It is a very rich, chocolately and moreish treat. The ice cream is creamy and has a real chocolate taste without being too sweet. Throughout the ice cream there are chunks of brownie and unlike other ...
...not skimped on these at all. There are lots of big chunks of soft, dark, chewy chocolate brownie making the ice cream a real treat to eat. It comes in a cardboard tub with a cardboard lid that tends to go a little soggy when going in and out of the freezer but it serves its purpose. The tubs are 500g and do at least 4 decent servings. Its best to get it out of the freezer 10 or 20 minutes before you want to serve it or you might just end up with ...
