    ~ Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara ~ I do love a bargain. I was therefore delighted to discover that a recent copy of "Glamour" magazine was giving away some freebies with each copy of their magazine. As the freebies were from the "Benefit" cosmetics range, which I had tried only once or twice before, I decided to purchase a few assorted copies of the magazine to take full advantage of the small selection of cosmetics on offer.     Disadvantages Disadvantages It's expensive... but highly worth it for a nice treat.

    Recently a magazine gave away a smaller version of this mascara, which is the reason for the sudden influx in reviews on here for it! I however have been a fan of this mascara for a long time and own the full size version of it. I noticed some mixed reviews for this mascara so I feel I need to voice my own opinion of it! I bought the full size 8.5g mascara in Debenhams as a treat with some vouchers from my Shop and Scan panel.     I have used an awful lot of mascaras over the years, including some pretty terrible ones and some fantastic ones too! I wasn't sure which category this product would fit into as I've had a bit of a hit and miss experience with Benefit in the past, though this mascara looks pretty stylish with it's jazzy packaging so I thought I'd give it a try. I can be quite shallow and judge products on looks far too often and so I often end up with a drawer full of 'pretty rubbish'.     Advantages Advantages Really black colour, gives good thickening effect in one coat, easy to apply

    I'm not a big mascara fan - my sister spends an absolute fortune on the Lancome Hypnose, but having been lucky enough to inherit my Dad's dark, thick lashes, I don't see it as such a necessity so am pretty difficult to impress in the mascara stakes. I bought this in a set which contained Benefit's Dandelion, Benetint and this Bad Lashes Mascara - all for the bargain price of £43 - at £20 each for the Dandelion and the Benetint this was a bargain in itself and the mascara for me was an added bonus.     Advantages Advantages Beautiful application with a wonderful initial effect.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't wear well, left with flecks on my lower lids after a couple of hours.

    If you haven't already spotted I am a bit of a make up junkie. In fact, the first step to try and combat to your problems is admitting you have one, but did this mascara give me a suitable hit? Benefit should know what they're doing, they have been doing the whole make-up thing since 1976, and went seriously global when acquired by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy in 1999 (if you don't know it, it's the biggest luxury goods seller in the world!).     Advantages Advantages Only requires one coat, lasts all day, no smudging, easily removed, extends lashes

    I've always been in two minds about trying this Bad Gal Lash Mascara by Benefit. I've always been of the impression that mascara is mascara, whatever the price. I've also read a couple of reviews on Dooyoo which suggested that it may not be worth paying extra for. However, this all changed at Christmas when my fabulous little sister gifted me with a cute tin of Benefit goodies, in which I found this lil beauty.     I got a tube of this mascara free with Glamour magazine a couple of months ago like I know a lot of the other girls on Dooyoo did. I wouldn't have chosen to purchase this product myself as I am completely happy with the Max Factor Masterpiece mascara that I use. Also, I have tried quite a few Benefit products now and although there are one or two that I love, on the whole I have been fairly disappointed and find that they usually don't live up to the promises on their quirky packaging.     I don’t have the time or the inclination to wear much make up on a regular basis but the one item that I wear everyday is black mascara. I am always on the look out for bargains and special offers so I was pleased to spot that Glamour magazine was giving away Benefit products with every issue a few months ago. I snapped up a copy offering a small 4g tube of Benefit ‘Bad Gal’ mascara, feeling sure that I had nabbed a bargain for just the £2 cover price of the magazine.     Benefit are probably my favourite cosmetics company of all time; their products work, they're quirky, the packaging is beautiful and they make you feel like when you're a kid and you're playing dress-up! One of the main problems that people have with Benefit is that their products, on first appearance, seem extremely expensive! However, their products last for such a long time and work so well that they are actually well worth the money!     Appearance --------------------- They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, so I guess you shouldn't judge a mascara by its packaging but it's good to know what it looks like so here goes. Benefit BADGal Mascara comes in a black box with pink and white writing. It's quite stylish with just a hint of naughtiness. When you open it the tube is also black with white and pink writing, and quite a good size. (Actually it's pretty big at 8.5g) The wand is fairly standard but with a very big head, which I sometimes find a bit unweildy, but more of that in application... Application ... more
