Advantages Advantages Highlights the features you want brilliantly, and it lasts all day!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Costs £15.50.... but it will last a while and it's really worth it.

-*Benefit Cosmetics*- Benefit are fast becoming a hugely popular high-end cosmetics range. They have funky names and a kitsch retro image, with many of their product's having a 50's feel to them and covered in bright and colourful images. They don't come across as a more 'serious' cosmetics company such as the likes of Clinique, but instead their sales counters will often be very girly and pink with music playing. The packaging is very similar of that of the popular Soap & Glory range, which also uses a funky 50's image for their products. You can find Benefit Cosmetics in Debenhams and larger ... more

+*+ BENEFIT +*+ Benefit cosmetics are a fun and funky brand. With great names to their products and a kitsch and retro image. Hugely popular both here and in the USA, Benefit produce items that are colourful and 'must have', and their clever advertising goes a long way in promoting their brand. Packaged in bright colours and featuring 50's artwork Benefit have got this sales pitch spot on, and you can't help but be tempted to want to own the items from this kitsch range of cosmetics . - BENEFIT HIGHBEAM Benefit Highbeam is one of my very favourite products from their cosmetic range. Advantages Advantages Updates daytime makeup to evening - lasts ages!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not for daytime, quite expensive

I first came across Benefit Cosmetics a few Christmas' ago when I received a Kitten Sparkle Puff as a gift. Living in a small town, I'd never heard of Benefit before and soon did some internet searches to find out more. I'm now a self confessed Benefit addict! Benefit Cosmetics are the brainchild of Jean & Jane Ford, two identical twin sisters from San Francisco. Their products such as Benetint, Dr FeelGood, Show-Offs, High Beam & "Touch me then try to leave". . . Cream have reached cult status around the world, receiving rave reviews from beauty books & magazines and sneaking into the ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks gorgeous, enhances any complexion

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive (although worth it!)

I have written a couple of other Benefit reviews so won't continue to 'wax-lyrical' for too long about how much I love the range. If I had one must-buy item from Benefit it would be the Benetint product. However, my next item on the list would have to be High-Beam. What the heck is it?! Well, Highbeam is basically a pinky-silvery toned smooth lotion that acts as a complexion illuminator. In simple terms, it will make you look radiant and glowing and just shiny enough not to look sweaty, but glowing enough to make you look gorgeous. The idea is to apply it on the cheeks, or cheekbones more ... more

5 Stars SHINY HAPPY ME 25/05/2003
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages A quick fix for fantastic looking skin.

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's a "Fake It" product, the results don't last!

How times change. It seems like only yesterday that my every skin care and make up purchase was geared towards reducing the shine of my oily teenage skin. I spent a fortune on oil-free moisturisers, blotting paper, matt foundations and pressed powder. Now, here I am, a few (well, okay, about 10!) years later, giving a glowing review of a product which actually makes your skin shiny! I am sure many of you know how it is when you have a busy, modern lifestyle – smoky atmospheres, traffic fumes and air conditioned offices all take their toll on skin, and can leave it looking tired, grey and ... more

Advantages Advantages Makes skin look radiant. Lasts all night. A little goes a long way.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive. Questionable animal testing policy.

Benefit High Beam is a complexion enhancing highlighter, part of the BeneFit Cosmetics range of products. Benefit has christened this product a ‘supermodel in a bottle’ and I can certainly see why because it makes your skin look radiant! I’ve been using High Beam for a while now as it offers me the look that l want – a healthy, glowing complexion. My skin looks luminous when I wear this and I feel great. It also gives me a light shimmer which looks great on photos! The product itself comes in a nail polish style bottle, even down to the style of the applicator brush. In fact it has the ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice glow, lasts ages

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing

Benefit the luxury make-up brand has over 2000 counters in more than 30 countires. There is no wonder that most people who wear cosmetics or even some that don’t have heard of the brand and it’s brilliant reputation for selling some of the best make-up products. The High beam product is very different to the highlighters I own, I only have highlighters that are the same colour as my skin tone so the fact it is a satiny pink liquid highlighter really intreguied me. Benefit claims that it accents cheekbones and brow bones for a radiant glow. This is most definitely true, my cheekbones especially ... more

Advantages Advantages Will last a very long time, is multifunctioning and versatile

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive for such a little bottle

I like a streamlined make-up bag with just a few daily essentials and some well thought out compacts. This is the reason my favourite cosmetic brand is Benefit. Product Benefit High Beam is rather enticingly marketed as 'Supermodel in a bottle'. I'm not sure how much I'd agree with this promise but it is certainly very good! Apart from those wonderful days when I mooch around the house in my PJ's and no make-up, Benefit High Beam is part of my daily routine. Benefit High Beam is a pink, subtly sparkly liquid highlighter. It comes in a small 13ml bottle with a brush for application (like a ... more

Advantages Advantages A nice highlighter, easy to use and blends nicely

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very overpriced for what it is

Fab freebie Benefit products are usually out of my price range, and I have never been massively impressed with them anyway, but when Glamour magazine was giving away Benefit freebies on the cover a month or two ago I took the chance to try out a few things! Radiant glow Benefit High Beam is one of the Benefit products that I have heard people rave about, but have never tried out for myself. So getting the chance to try this little sample size (4ml) bottle for no more than the cover price of the mag (£2) was very welcome! The usual price is £18.50 for a full size (15ml bottle). So not at all ... more
