OK, so I ended up with this wafer thin cooked turkey by accident. A rather STUPID accident (Mark!) but an accident non the less. I sent Mark to Tesco for some turkey for a stir fry, thinking he'd pick a couple of turkey breasts up. Unfortunately, Mark wasn't blessed with the common sense gene and arrived home carrying a suspiciously light carrier bag containing..... yep, you guessed it, Bernard Matthews ... ...per 37.5g serving), the famous Bernard Matthews 'country house' logo, ingredients and the reassurance that this is 92% fat free. This is very good news as I'm currently on a diet (sort of...) and getting bored of the usual extremely dry ham sandwiches at lunchtime.
Looking at the ingredients, I see this meat is made up of 60% turkey and although there are many other things in this list (including E numbers 407, 451, 450 and 452) there isn't really ...

It is the turkey I am going to talk about today (well it is Christmas soon) I promise there will be no puns about how I like to gobble this meat up. Is it meat though? Is any processed meat actually good enough to be labelled meat? Something like luncheon meat can be quite dodgy, but I whole-heartedly believe that Bernard Matthews Turkey is actually mostly meat, and my reasoning is based ... ...supposed to? I think that Bernard Matthews certainly come pretty close here. It is turkey-ish (or Turkish – sorry) and tasty. The meat is succulent and wet; it is also pretty thick – much thicker than the other wafer thin meats out there. You actually feel you are getting your moneys worth. It is enjoyable and well worth a try, even if you are one of those people who tends to avoid processed meats as if they were bad puns….

...heard of the bloke called Bernard Matthews and his wonderful selection of cold meat. Well this is one of his creations and its called Turkey wafer thin, which I purchase regularly. It comes in a 150g square pack and in each you will find layers of the finest thin turkey, that I have ever seen. The slices are formed from selected cuts of turkey, with added water and are ready to eat. It was awarded winner this year for slimming, as it’s so light ... ...which is brilliant. You get loads of slices in each pack, and it goes a long way. TASTE:
Some people find turkey to be rather dry meat, which I suppose compared to chicken it is. Any way this wafer turkey is very moist indeed, and not at all dry, mainly because of the water content. It is very succulent and tastes superb, with a salad or in a sandwich, with what ever takes your fancy. RECIPE SUGGESTION:

...lunch today. A salad, with Bernard Matthews Turkey Ham. I have this meat at least six times a week and I really like it .So I thought I would have a look in Ciao to see if I could write an opinion and Lo and behold there it was.
I m sure you have all seen Bernard Matthews products but for those who haven’t It is in an almost square packet mostly blue and yellow roughly 5x5x1.1/4 inches
I think it smells nice maybe a bit strong for some As ... ...carbohydrates

I lovelovelove this turkey ham!! i do not have a bad word to say about it, it has saved me from a year of miserable dieting, i would almost put my 6 stone weight loss down to this ham as i think i survived off it pretty much! It is 95% fat free which is great for the waist line, it can be put in anything, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads, pizza, pitta bread, on its own with the mustard jar at reach, served with eggs for an alternative to bacon ... ...list is endless! A 170g packet costs less than a pound so for under £2 you could have the pefect sandwich, just grab a crusty loaf and you have a mouth watering meal. I have heard people bad mouth this turkey ham saying it's mostly water blah, blah, blah but all i can taste when i put it in my mouth is lushness!!!!!
You can freeze it, i currently have 4 packets in my freezer for fear of running out, you see if i dont have my ham i will have peanut ...
