Advantages: You don't have to leave the house. Free delivery of goods. Disadvantages: No good if you want the item NOW!
The Betterware catalogue came flying through the letterbox. Sometimes I picked it up and had a nosey through and sometimes I just never got around to it. If I had a nosey through I would often think, Now, there's a good idea. I could do with one of those. But rarely did I ever get around to actually putting pen to paper and ordering.
A couple of days later the Catalogue would be picked up, devoid of order. Or I would just forget to put it on the ... ...took on the role of Betterware distributor. Boy do I feel bad now, and so I have decided to write this review from the other side of things.
~~~The Delivery~~~
The Catalogues come out every five weeks. As most distributors don't last more than that, it means a new distributor may re deliver to some houses. This gives the impression that the Catalogues either come very frequently, or you may go months without seeing one if a new distributor cannot ...
Betterware are quite good on giving you choices. For instance if you are weary of giving out your credit card details you can pay on delivery, which is the normal way of paying if you order direct from a Betterware agent in person. However I chose to pay online to save any hassles latter.
Betterware also gives you a choice of a separate delivery address from the correspondence address. I chose to get it delivered to a friend’s ...
We contacted Betterware and a local manager called out to see us, within a week we were Betterware agents. He supplied us with our books and two shoulder bags for carrying them in. It took about an hour dropping them out and another half-hour for me to get my breath back, god that hill was steep and I am not a young or fit man anymore. Advantages: You can shop in the comfort of your own home Disadvantages: Can be a little pricey with some things
I use to be a Betterware agent. I did it for about a month., but got fed up with having to carry ironing ironing boards, whilst delivering stock.
The Catologue. A betterware book, is usually delivered every six weeks. An agent will come and post one through your letter box. They will then come back, in a couple of days, to pick up the book, and take your order. (if you have one)
Advantages: removes anything sticky! Disadvantages: a bit greasy
...I was glancing at the Betterware brochure and i noticed a product claiming it would get rid of sticky residue left by glue, tape etc.
I purchased some and waited two weeks for the delivery.
It cost £4.99 for a 125ml bottle.
Betterware ... well, what can you say. Full of lots of plastic gadgets
and gizmos that serve no useful purpose, that you don't want and
certainly don't need. Maybe that's a bit harsh, but we have a
Betterware distributer in our area and although we have had many, many
of their booklets through our letterbox through the years, we have yet
to order a single item :-) You would think he would have got the
message by now.
contained within. I can just imagine a couple of little boffins in an
office somewhere (throwbacks to K Tel and Ronco) 'inventing' all these little plastic kitchen items which have no real use - they are superfluous to the job they are intended for - and which I cannot imagine anyone forking hard earned cash out for.
Sorry - but I don't need door openers, lidded cat food trays, 'fur'
Advantages: A good range of household bits and bobs Disadvantages: Some items are over-priced
This catalogue has been coming through my letter box for the last four years, and in the time I may have bought half a dozen items in all. I usually get home in the evening and find it a poly bag with a note saying that it will be collected the next day. This does not really give me time to sit down and look at it properly.
It does have a good range of bits and pieces, but I think that many of them are vastly over-priced for what they are. I looked ... ...and realised that I had seen one at my local outdoor market for half the price. Okay, the cheaper one wasn't as nice a colour, but it's for drying socks, not looking at. I am a Betterware Distributor at the moment, and it can be both a rewarding and sometimes crappy job to do.
I got the job because I am currently a student, and the job fits around my studies very easily. I have most of my evenings free, so I thought that I may aswell do something with that time, rather than waste it away on the computer doing nothing.
As a Distributor, I get 20%25 of any sales I make. So, say in total I make 300.00 pounds in 1 week, I will end up with 60.00 pounds of that money to myself.
I don't always make 300 quid, most of the time it's around the 250.00 pounds mark, which is still pretty good.
