Advantages Advantages You don't have to leave the house. Free delivery of goods.

Disadvantages Disadvantages No good if you want the item NOW!

The Betterware catalogue came flying through the letterbox. Sometimes I picked it up and had a nosey through and sometimes I just never got around to it. If I had a nosey through I would often think, Now, there's a good idea. I could do with one of those. But rarely did I ever get around to actually putting pen to paper and ordering. A couple of days later the Catalogue would be picked up, devoid of order. Or I would just forget to put it on the doorstep for collection. Then a couple of months back I took on the role of Betterware distributor. Boy do I feel bad now, and so I have decided to ... more

Advantages Advantages Unique products, face to face contact wih rep.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Long delivery times, Poor customer service

I’m always sceptical when these catalogues come flying through the post-box. I always have a look through and consider ordering something but normally forget or the idea passes. But, about six months ago I decided I really wanted some items from the Betterware catalogue. I also noticed that I could use their website to place an order, which I found useful because I was never in when the Betterware agent came by. I chose three items from the catalogue, which where: Stainless Steal Hob Covers - £9.99 Freezer Defroster Aid - £3.00 Clothes Depillar - £3.50 I was pleasantly surprised to find ... more

    Advantages Advantages Bit of money

Disadvantages Disadvantages No women had their way with me

Betterware…………Cold In The Winter………. I have a confession to make, “I am a sex maniac”. Sorry that’s the wrong confession, “I used to do the Betterware”. I feel better now that I have got that off my chest. It all came about when my eldest son was 15 and basically looking some part time money so I suggested that he became a Betterware agent and that I would drive him round the area and help him out.. We contacted Betterware and a local manager called out to see us, within a week we were Betterware agents. He supplied us ... more

Advantages Advantages Some good and useful products

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be expensive and some of the products are not worth the money

I have to comment as I have been both a buyer and distributor of “Betterware”. I do agree with most of the comments posted here but I would like to clarify a few things. Yes “Betterware” can be a bit expensive. This is obviously because they have to pay distributors and supervisors for their work in getting the products to you. Some of their products are actually very good but quite a few can be found cheaper elsewhere. Beware though of returned items. I returned a Rotary cheese grater 4 times and eventually just got my money back. The first time I sent one back it was ... more

Advantages Advantages You can shop in the comfort of your own home

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be a little pricey with some things

I use to be a Betterware agent. I did it for about a month., but got fed up with having to carry ironing ironing boards, whilst delivering stock. The Catologue. A betterware book, is usually delivered every six weeks. An agent will come and post one through your letter box. They will then come back, in a couple of days, to pick up the book, and take your order. (if you have one) The betterware book provides you with reasonably priced products for you and your home. You will find a wide range of goods from: *Jewelery *Dish cloths *Brushes (hair and clothes) *Cleaning products *Pet beds and ... more

    Advantages Advantages removes anything sticky!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages a bit greasy

I had to put this under this catergory because I couldn't find one for this product. I buy a lot of CDs and sometimes the label has embedded itself onto the CD case and won't budge. I tried removing the label by picking at it with my finger nails, then fairy liquid. In the end it came off but what a load of hassle in the process. Then one day I was glancing at the Betterware brochure and i noticed a product claiming it would get rid of sticky residue left by glue, tape etc. I purchased some and waited two weeks for the delivery. It cost £4.99 for a 125ml bottle. When it came i tried it out ... more

Advantages Advantages A good range of household bits and bobs

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some items are over-priced

This catalogue has been coming through my letter box for the last four years, and in the time I may have bought half a dozen items in all. I usually get home in the evening and find it a poly bag with a note saying that it will be collected the next day. This does not really give me time to sit down and look at it properly. It does have a good range of bits and pieces, but I think that many of them are vastly over-priced for what they are. I looked at one of those peg-hanger (for hanging sock to dry) and realised that I had seen one at my local outdoor market for half the price. Okay, the ... more

Advantages Advantages service to the door, durable products, good history

    Disadvantages Disadvantages unavailability of items.

It's the door to door scene, magazine left on the step and the Kleeneze man breathing down your neck. Irate people not wanting to buy anything contrasted with people genuinely interested in wine racks, bed spreads and shoe holders. What ever did happen to that metal cream that couldn't be beaten we shall never know, but once you bought a tube of it off Betterware it lasted forever. Long ago Betterware was the brush type salesman at the door with the brown suitcase. It survives today and that speaks for its quality and endurance. If you sell the stuff you get all the rebuffs and insults that go ... more

    Advantages Advantages none

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too many to list

Betterware ... well, what can you say. Full of lots of plastic gadgets and gizmos that serve no useful purpose, that you don't want and certainly don't need. Maybe that's a bit harsh, but we have a Betterware distributer in our area and although we have had many, many of their booklets through our letterbox through the years, we have yet to order a single item :-) You would think he would have got the message by now. What I mean to say is that every time I glance through the catalogue I am amazed by the ingenuity of the uselessness of many of the items contained within. I can just imagine a ... more

Advantages Advantages good value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages appalling service from their internet site and some of their agents

Over the last 10 years or so I have bought a number of products from the Betterware range. Originally we had an excellent agent who called round in the evening with your goods and was prompt and pleasant. Our current agent can't even be relied on to collect the catalogue so I decided to use their internet site instead. This is easy to use - no problems there - but where was my order. Twice I have used their site, and twice the goods have failed to arrive. On both occasions I have e-mailed them after allowing them several weeks to get my order to me, and on both occasions they have re-sent the ... more
