Big Green Smile Eco Button - Auto Shut Down PC's and Laptops

I'm not normally one for buying gadgets or watching the C5 programme The Gadget Show, that type of thing is always left to my Husband. In this day and age, it’s a sheer necessity to watch what we spend as our bank balances as a nation have taken a hit over the last few years with a nasty recession. I like to think of myself as being quite a green and eco friendly person. I recycled from before it became fashionable, we compost, we grow our own, we even save up our plastic recycling till we have a car load and then my hubbie takes it to the recycling point in the town where he works as our council don't touch it, and we are about to have solar panels put on the roof of our house. I received this as a gift from a friend. At first it was very easy install and use, but after a while a became one of those gifts where you would use once then leave it lying around somewhere and forget about it. The software was actually very good, the computer would go to sleep instantly and was very quick to wake up. This was very useful for the likes of Windows Vista however when Windows 7 came out, it had its own sleep function that worked just as well, if not a bit slower.
