Advantages Advantages Inexpensive with large buttons and Caller ID

Disadvantages Disadvantages Tied to a cord when on phone

The Binatone D33 was my first phone - I still have it (now sits next to the computer as a great office type phone) I originally chose this particular model for its price (very cheap from Argos - I think it was £14.99) The second thing that made me drawn to buying this model is the fact that it has a Caller ID display - which means you can see who is calling either from the phone number or from programming names and numbers into it (me at the time being unaware that you had to sign up for Caller ID - I now have..) ------- THE LOOK OF THE PHONE ------- The phone is black and silver with grey ... more

    Advantages Advantages caller id

    Disadvantages Disadvantages not cordless

I have had this phone for a few months now, i mainly got it because i kept getting phones calls and the person on the other end was just hanging up when i answered, i was going to change my number but that proved to be costly, so i thought i would look around for another alternative. I was shopping in tesco and saw the phone it looked preety good, and at a bonus it had called id and at the price of £13.27 it seemed good value. When i got home it was easy to fit, just plugged it in and i was off. The caller id screen requires 3 AAA batteries which is a bonus as you dont have to put the phone ... more

Advantages Advantages Caller ID, plenty of functions

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery Powered Display, no wall hanger

We got the Binatone D33 to replace our previous phone when the rabbit chewed through the cable! It appealed due to the caller display function, and also the speakerphone - a habit I got into when working in an office phoning a lot of customers was to hit the speakerphone button, dial the number then pick up the handset when the other person answered (thus leaving my hands free to type or write while waiting for them to answer.) The speakerphone is good from 'your' end, but the person at the other end doesn't get a very good output, particulary if you are sat below the level of the phone. The ... more

Advantages Advantages Price and caller id

Disadvantages Disadvantages Its got a cord

I have had this phone a little over 24 hours now and can already see the benefits compared to my last phone. The reason i opted for this model was number one the price, at just £13.27 from Tesco, and i wanted a phone with caller id in a place where there was no access to a power socket this fits the bill as it takes 3 "AAA" batteries. It is quite easy to set up but i would recommend checking the instruction leaflet first. It has a memory capacity for 20 numbers in the phone book. There is an LED light which flashes when you have a new call in the calls log. It also has a handsfree speaker phone ... more
