Advantages: Tasty beer with a good body. Disadvantages: Stronger than you might think.
I had already almost written this review before the new batch of products appeared so I decided to continue with it. This was primarily because I had finally found out what the name of the beer meant, but also because it IS a classic beer worthy of a write-up! I'm not a great fan of Shepherd Neame, but there's opinions to be written and quotas to meet so, in the best interests of the CIAO community, I boldy bid the barkeep to dispense posthaste, one frothing, foaming, imperial pint of the aforementioned beverage for me to consume forthwith.

Advantages: Only Bishop’s Finger Strong Ale can be called Kentish Strong Ale Disadvantages: Draft not easy to find
Shepherd Neame claims to be Britain’s oldest brewery and has been in continuous production since 1698. It’s trademark is a Bishop’s crook. The brewery hails from Faversham in Kent and draws its water from a 300 year old artesian well. The name of this brew, Bishops Finger, comes from an unusual finger-shaped signpost that is still found in Kent and which once pointed pilgrims on their way to Canterbury.

Advantages: A very tasty bitter Disadvantages: Quite strong
I'm not your regular bitter drinker. Being at the younger end of the age span and female, you may have thought I'd not touch bitter with a bargepole. However, I often serve in the bar at my local rugby/cricket club which offers a wide variety of Shepard Neame (I'm sure that's spelt wrong, I apologise) bitters.
