This carpet cleaner is the last in a very long list of carpet shampooers that I have used, but comes out top every time. I have four kids, each in their own right, messy, accidental spillages are a common occurance in my house. I have used Bissell carpet cleaners for about 7 years now. With two kids & three dogs, a good carpet cleaner is essential. I'm on my fourth Bissell now - that will tell you about the build quality. I cannot dispute the good job that they do at the start, when they are brand new. I was delighted at first, however, they just do not last. I have just purchased the Bissell Powerwash Upright Deepcleaner for £179.95 from Curry's and it's ace!! Is a bazzin' looking device and very simple to use. It has the appearance of a beefed up Vac, all you do is put hot water in one compartment, the cleaning fluid in another, select whether you want heavy duty or whatever. Turn it on, and you are away! You depress a trigger in the handle which sparays the cleaning solution evenly over the carpet, ...
...wish, depending on the muck! Then you, basically vacuum the carpet, and the deep suction pumps the FILTHY (the shame) water into another container that you just simply unclip and empty when full. The instructions are very concise and easy to follow, even Sam Dingle could do it! Its a wonderful little machine. I love the way my carpets smell and look right after I have finished my scrubbing. I have 3 very large and very hairy dogs. We treat them as tho they were human. Hair does a funny thing on carpet, it weaves itself into the carpet fibers. Vacuums do not pick up these hairs. However, the bissels little brushes find those little hairs and sucks them right up. I find tho that I have to clean the brushes more than an ordinary ...
