Advantages Advantages Excellent messaging facilities. Easy to use trackpad. Nice big & clear screen, plus many more.....

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small keys could be a problem. Takes a while to get used to if never used a BB before.

Having had a contract with the same Mobile provider for 13 years, I had always alternated between Motorola and Nokia handsets, but this year I decided to get a smartphone. For many months people came up to me with their iphone's, Blackberry's etc etc, i thought that having a phone with a full qwerty keypad was a good idea, and since using email had become so frequent, having a handset with full email access appealed greatly. So a choose the latest Blackberry released at the time, the Bold 9700. Berry-Basics! I must say, upon using the 9700 for the first time, i was a little taken back by it's ... more

Advantages Advantages BBM, Stylish, Durable, Smartphone, Good Battery, Great Value For Money, Smart.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can Be Quite Expensive, Can Get Dirty Between The Keys.

IntroductionThis phone was bought one month ago as a christmas present as my brothers previous phone has broken and had a crack down the screen due to an unfortunate incident with a park swing and it falling out of his pocket. He was wanting to get a Blackberry as it seems to be a teenager trend at the minute and all his friends had the BBM and the instant messages which he didn't have previously. We took a look on O2 and the price for this phone brand new was over £400 and i was definitely not going to pay that after the last swing incident, but he was definite that he wanted that phone so i ... more

Advantages Advantages robust, simplistic, cheap, good camera, good battery life

    Disadvantages Disadvantages chunky

I thought long and hard about the purchasing of a new phone, I read many reviews, scoured through magazines and visited more shops than I care to remember. I eventually settled on the Blackberry Bold 9700. Everything pointed to it being a fantastic phone, that would cater to my every need. After returning home from the shop after purchasing, I plugged it in and dove straight in. Having never used a Blackberry before I found the interface incredibly easy to get to grips with. The menu was simplistic and everything was exactly where I expected it to be. The keyboard was also a pleasure to use ... more

Advantages Advantages great for business, fantastic camera, memory size availability

Disadvantages Disadvantages buttons press when in pocket, memory card slips

I have bought the Blackberry Bold 9700 in April 2010 on orange, for £25 a month for 24 months with an initial starting fee of £100. I was previously an iPhone loyal but this phone really has converted me. This has to be the godfather of all Smartphones. Its great for sending and receiving e-mails from multiple accounts, editing documents and making long-term phone calls which are often enhanced by the UMA feature when connected to broadband allowing 100% signal, fantastic if you are in the middle of nowhere. If you are buying the phone more for media than business or both in fact, stick a 16GB ... more

    Advantages Advantages Aesthetically pleasing smartphone

Disadvantages Disadvantages iPhone tops it, and isn't very durable

Hi there, Im Jon and for the last 3 years have been somewhat of a Blackberry addict. My first Blackberry phone was a Pearl that slowly introduced me into the wonderful world of a smartphone with applications, wonderful integration between emailing and using a an instant chat service - blackberry messenger (bbm). My next Blackberry device that followed was the first version of the Curve with the little nipple scrolling button. A brilliant update from a professional mobile smart phone, aesthetically pleasing and a wide range of features notably downloads (that are free and can pay for) that add ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to navigate, good battery, good for browing, good for typing

Disadvantages Disadvantages no radio, bad reception, delete and enter key next to each other

Summing up my blackberry experience in one word. AMAZING. Look Small screen and full querty keyboard, i thought this phone wouldnt live up to the hype. I thought that the screen would be too small to to anything decent on and id end up pressing more than 1 key at a time, boy was i wrong. It also features the Blackberry logo at the top, above which is a small graille and next to which is an LED light which lights up when a new message is recieved. There is some space below the querty keyboard so that it doesnt look to cramped and directly above the querty keyboard, just below the screen, are ... more

Advantages Advantages Battery time, features, range of exclusive features such as Blackberry Messenger, ease of use.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Once the handset has been turned off, it takes a while to turn it back on again.

In my experience, I have never had a phone that has fulfilled all of my needs. I can access everything on the phone at the touch of a button and important features aren't hidden. The qwerty keyboard makes texting, emailing and browsing the internet simple and fast and txting back is no longer a hassle for me, which I had previously thought when using a touch screen handset. I can create my own folders where I can keep shortcut links to anything I need to get to on a regular basis including my different email accounts, university email and short cuts to websites such as Facebook as well as any ... more

Advantages Advantages good for business, connectivity and diary keeping

Disadvantages Disadvantages app centre is weak, some physical aspects are flimsy, not for the social butterfly

I bought this phone as my secondary phone for business use in November 2010 after taking "expert" advice from a sales representative from the O2 store. To start having the phone was an exciting change from the iPhone that i use in personal life and i was enjoying the set up and workings of the phone and softwear. Quickly i began to find some significant flaws in the phone and the way that it is produced. Externally at a glance the phone is well made and seems to have been produced with high quality materials but on closer inspection to the screen and main touch buttons (the answer, hang up ... more

    Advantages Advantages Battery Life, Lightweight

Disadvantages Disadvantages Smaller Screen than Blackberry Storm which only effects when watching videos

I recently upgraded to the Blackbery Bold 9700 from the Blackberry Storm and can honestly say I would never look back. At first I was a bit unsure of the keypad with the buttons being so small but within a matter of days I was used to them and find them exceptionally easy to use. The phone is also compact and lightweight which is a bonus when your out and about to just pop in your pocket or small handbag on a night out. The one thing that surprised me with this model is the battery life, I was finding myself having to charge my Blackberry Storm twice/three times per day as I use it as a work ... more

Advantages Advantages looks amazing, cool apps, and very easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life can be a little low, depending on how the phone is used

think ill start with the look of the phone. i personally have it in the black, which looks very professional, and sleek :). it has a glossy finish, which is very chip resistant ( i know this as i've dropped it many times, and still looks like its brand new), and also has a chrome-silver look band around the top, bottom and sides, which gives the phone dimension, and makes it look expensive. My friend has the same phone in the white version, which i guess is still pretty nice, but shows up any flaws or dirt much easier. the phone also has a nice weight to it, like its comfy in your hand. its ... more
