    I have had my Blackberry 9700 for a couple of months now. I use it for a wide range of features: checking emails on multiple accounts, playing games, staying connected with friends via blackberry messenger (BBM), text, and by Facebook. There is no end to what you can do with a Blackberry. With Blackberry Messenger (BBM) you can stay connected to your friends over seas for free. Unlike with other phones it costs more to text or even call abroad.     All round very good phone. Easy to use, the querty keypad was a little arkward at first having not used something like this, however once used for a while this became second nature. Internet access is very good when connected through a wireless network but a little too slow if not. Accessing internet pages on the phone is ok but you have to zoom in constantly in order to see the content which can be a little bit of a pain.     First of all the Blackberry Bold 9700 looks fantastic, With its sleek design and silver finish it certainly looks the part. But whats it like to use.... When i first got it out the box i was shocked at how long it took to switch it it can take up to five minutes to turn everytime i turn it off which can be a bit annoying if you realy need to use it quick! But once its on WOW its truly an amazing little thing the high resolution screen in amazing to look at. The qwerty keypad, which i had never used was realy easy to adapt to.     This phone is brilliant as it is basically 1 step up from the blackberry curve 8900. Its faster processing, has a better screen, has bigger buttons and looks fantastic. This version of the blackberry has a touchpad in the middle for scrolling which i didnt think i would like, but now i find it so easy to use as its quite sensitive and fast scrolling. This phone has recently had an update for its operating system, it now runs Blackberry OS 6 and it is better than ever.     Disadvantages Disadvantages The browser is not the best mobile browser.

    I have had the BlackBerry Bold 9700 for a few months now and love using it. It has everything I need for personal and business use. I find the email set up very easy to use. The internet is also very easy to use although the browser (I believe BlackBerry are working to improve on this) could be better, this is the only thing I would change about the current BlackBerry. My favourite thing about BlackBerry is something that is not available on any other make of mobile phone - the BlackBerry Messenger.     After destroying an iPhone 3G I took the decision to try a blackberry bold 9700. The reasons for this - a colleague raving about it, the price per month (35 pounds), the functionality compared to the 3G (copy & paste, bluetooth and BBM etc!) As a visual, creative person, I was in heaven with the iPhones usability - although not much to do untill you have the applications included. A frustrating feature was the inept ability to carry out basic mobile phone functions! This helped my move to the 9700.     I have only had one Blackberry, which is the Blackberry Bold 9700. In all honesty, a blackberry is a blackberry and they all do the same thing, they are just slightly different. The majority of my friends that have blackberry's, have the curve, and they always seem to be having problems with it, wether its just working slow, or completely frozen. I have had my Blackberry since september, and a month ago, i had my first problem with it, where it wasn't holding the charge so I took it into repair and 2 weeks later they gave me a brand new phone, exactly the same, just because apparently it's ... more

    I bought this phone back in January 2010 on a contract of £35 per month receiving the phone for free. I have found that the price is a little expensive and it can be easy to go over your internet limit, especially if you decide to watch the odd youtube movie, however this is probably one of the best phones I have ever had. I receive all my emails on it and facebook notifications, which is fantastic when I'm at school as facebook is blocked, and I can reply to emails without having a big screen that everyone can read off.     I have bought the Blackberry Bold 9700 in April 2010 on orange, for £25 a month for 24 months with an initial starting fee of £100. At first my Blackberry was great and i had no problems at all. However now my phone had started freezing all the time and the middle slide button no longer works. I know of other people who have had the same problem. I would not buy from blackberry again. The internet is slow and the camera quality is very poor as it does not have a flash!
