A Sweet Blackberry with just a Few Sour Bits! Diamond review

AdvantagesFast, big screen, superb design, combination screen/keyboard works well. Excellent sound quality

DisadvantagesBattery life quite short, limited app's, not massively robust.

"...months of using my previous Blackberry Bold 9700 smartphone, I decided it was time for an upgrade. Nothing was wrong with my old phone, but I just thought I'd keep up with the latest kit. This was three months ago, the new Bold model had just been released, and after a quick browse at one in a local outlet, I chose to stick with Blackberry and get this neat little touch-screen/qwerty keyboard combination handset. Here are my thoughts on this rather ..." Read review

Amazing phone which exceeded my expectations

Advantagesmultitasking, nice keypad, easy to use, trackpad, touchscreen, camera, video

Disadvantagesappworld, battery life could be better

"I have been a Blackberry user for the past 3 years now. I have used quite a lot of their devices and I can say that the Bold 9900 is my favourite device that I have used. Before using a Blackberry, I was rather skeptical. I never liked the concept of a qwerty keypad as I thought that it would be hard to type on. I generally thought Blackberrys would only be good older people. However, my opinion has dramatically changed and now I love all Blackerrys, ..." Read review

If you can keep the Bold 9900 alive then it's fantastic

AdvantagesThe combo of qwerty and touchscreen

DisadvantagesDied too soon and without reason, losing everything

"I have been a dedicated Blackberry user for more than 5 years now, I've had curves aswell as bolds so when it came time to upgrade my phone last year I had no doubt that the 9900 would be perfect for me. I'm not a fan of touchscreens, I'm no good at typing on them for a start and I just do not 'get' iphones at all. It's so smooth, so sleek and shiny. A high resolution touch screen aswell as the famous qwerty keyboard so you can get the best of both ..." Read review

Perfect for me Review with images

AdvantagesAttractive, Easy to use, Blackberry Messenger

DisadvantagesBattery Life,

"...use category". I have had my Blackberry Bold for 11 months now and have had very little issues with it. The only time I have had to repair it was when I was caught in a storm and the rain soaked through my pocket to the phone and resulted in the screen not switching on. I'm sure you'll agree that you cannot blame the phone for that. My only worry when purchasing this mobile was the poor quality of camera but I have to say it is a lot better than ..." Read review

Best Experience of a Blackberry yet with the Blackberry Bold 9900

Advantageseasy type keyboard, strong build, great storage

Disadvantagesapps, and long boot as per usual

"...Wasn't the greatest fan of blackberry before I aquired the Blackberry Bold 9900, I had owned some of there earlier models and found them somewhat "annoying" however this was the best option on my contract so I took it after getting it up and running, I was pleasently suprised with the touch screen and found it not to be over sensitive and good for someone with "chubby fingers" as always I feel the best thing about blackberrys is the keyboard again ..." Great phone

AdvantagesTouchscreen, qwerty,

Disadvantageslow battery time, network

"I bought the blackberry bold as my first phone with internet and so on ever. I love the touchscreen and the Qwerty board, it is really great, and easy to use. The design is amazing. the only problem I have had with this phone is that the network is really bad in Denmark, if i had known how bad it was, i might not have bought the phone, eventhough it is great otherwise. The battery is really bad, it can only keep battery one or a half day at a time. ..." Read review

Very slow!

AdvantagesGood apps available

DisadvantagesOften impossible to use efficiently

"I have had this phone for 5 months now and have found it to get progressively worse, so much so that it is now so slow that it often takes up to 5 minutes to just unlock the screen. Whilst it has good features, such as the touch screen which improves ease of use, i find the handset as a whole to be slow. I have also found that the battery will not even last for a day meaning i have to carry the charger around with me! The only positives that i have ..." Read review

blackberry bold 9900 Review with images

Advantagestouchscreen, fast, great camera, easy to use

Disadvantagescrashes sometimes

"...shows that it is a blackberry phone are built-in to the back of the phone that keeps the battery in so the stickers cannot come off like they do on most battery's then you are usually left with a black hard to see blackberry logo on the back of your phone. The camera is decent and a lot better than the other blackberry's, its sharp and can snap a good picture. MY THOUGHTS ON THE PHONE before the blackberry bold 9900 i had a blackberry curve 9330 ..." BlackBerry Bold 9900: Good but expensive.

AdvantagesFast processor, Plenty of internal storage, Runs BlackBerry 7 OS

DisadvantagesNo Flash support, microSD card access requires battery removal

"The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is just about the perfect upgrade for existing BlackBerry users. It runs on latest next generation Blackberry 7 Operating System. A 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor is accompanied by 768MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. We can expand on the internal storage (upto 32 GB) with microSD cards, but it is irritating that we have to remove the battery to access the slot. The mobile phone supports 3G HSDPA connectivity, Dual-band ..." Read review
