Advantages: none that I can think off Disadvantages: over priced - not flexible
Not only are the products over priced but lack flexability. The admin is appaling I have recently tried to take my proceeds from a personal pension. They managed to lose my birth certificate - supposedly sent 3 sets of quotes out and after 6 weeks have received 1. They have a service standard of 5 working days, I think not. No new policies available as now Scottish Widows through LloydsTsb, however whilst slightly better priced you can get Scottish ...

Advantages: Can take 2 months payment break per year. Disadvantages: Takes ages to get mistakes sorted, even when not your fault
...of Lloyds TSBs sister companies, Black Horse Finance. We wanted the money to pay off another more expensive loan and pay for our wedding in June 2006.
We were more then happy when we were offered £4000 as that would pay off the outstanding loan that we had and leave us with around £1000 towards our wedding.
We were also very happy when we were informed that would receive 3 months where we wouldn't have to pay a penny off the loan at the beginning ... ...end of trouble because of it. Perhaps it is because of sparkling personality and telephone manner that they like to hear from me so often!
If you are thinking about taking out a loan through Black Horse Finance I have one piece of advice for you - DON'T! ...
