Advantages Advantages Small, good light read.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Lots of adverts

Bliss magazine is primarily aimed at teenagers in the range of 13-17 I would say. The magazine is A5 size, it used to be A4 but then it decreased it size along with a few other magazines supposedly so it can ‘fit in your handbag’. Well it doesn’t fit it mine, but then again mines quite small. So anyway the latest issue I have, is the May issue which has a picture of Lindsay Lohan on the front. Each issue they have a celeb on the front. At the top is the name of the mag is big, bold pink with the website at the side. At the bottom it says ‘136 must-have shopping buys!’ and in between these two ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots of different sections, mix of serious and fun.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a lot of free stuff.

Well, that's how Bliss describes itself anyway. Bliss is a magazine aimed at teenage girls. It is a mix of serious and fun. I would say it was aimed at girls of about 13-16, yet I have known a few of my boy mates to take a sneaky peek when they thought I wasn't looking ;) Bliss is out monthly, usually around the fifth of each month. I subscribe to it, which cost about £20 for a year. This means I get my Bliss 1 or 2 days earlier than it hits the shops (WOW!!) Bliss costs £1.75 a month and can be bought from most good newsagents, as well as places like Woolworths and Superdrugs. You will ... more

    * What is Bliss ? * Bliss is a British girl's magazine aimed at teenagers between the ages of 13 - 17 I would say.The magazine is published monthly and is available in most newsagents and supermarkets. The current price of the magazine is £2.30 which is similar to other teenage magazines such as Sugar. * What is Bliss about * Bliss has many features such as fashion , celebs , problems , competitions , beauty , entertainment and lads just to name a few. I am going to review the current issue of Bliss (December 2007). * Cover * Nicole Scherzinger ( lead singer of the PussyCat Dolls and now solo ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy reading, nice to relax with

Disadvantages Disadvantages too many ads, quite expensive

Bliss is a fairly average teenage girls mag. It's A5 sized but comes in a large plastic package which i personally think is a waste of resources and also crackles very loudly, so if you are going to read the magazine on a bus or in a library I would advise you to take off the packaging first if you're easily embarassed like me! The current price is about £2.20, which is in the usual range for magazines of this type but is a bit steep considering the amount of space taken up by adverts. There are usually 150 - 170 pages. The mag always comes with a free gift, sometimes makeup or a bag, but ... more

Advantages Advantages Has various sections, aimed at teenagers

    Disadvantages Disadvantages nothing

Issued monthly, Bliss is a magazine for girls, covering topical issues. Fashion is a vast inclusion in the publication, picturing famous faces and their styles, giving comments (good and bad!), stating where and at what price the clothes were and can be bought, as well as giving general fashion tips. The November 2003 issue featured stars such as Beyonce Knowles, Tara Palmer Tompinkson and Jordan. As with any typical girls mag, Bliss also has a focus on beauty. Again it depicts the way in which celebs use cosmetics to ‘tart’ themselves up. Recommending beauty products and their prices is a ... more

Advantages Advantages Colourful, bright and good content

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None really

I get bliss every month. It is a magazine for teenage girls. It currently costs £2.10. It is A5 size, which is handy as it fits into some of my handbags, although not all of them. It is colourful and attractive and it is easily spotted on the shelves in the shops. You can buy it at good newsagents and stores like Asda (which is where I get mine from) The content's page is bright and colourful and it is an excellent quick reference to what is inside the magazine. It is split into 7 sections: On the cover - I think this is really good as it can take ages to look for something that appeared on ... more

Advantages Advantages Small ( can fit anywhere), packed with everything

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too many modelling pages, small you may loose it

Bliss describes itself as 'the best feeling in the world and it comes quite close to it. Bliss is a typical teenage magazine with celebrities, problems, fashion and boys, but theres something quite diffrent about it. It may be the size, or the content but it does (in my opinion) rank among the top teenage magazines. Being a teenager myself I buy bliss when its issued every month from a local newsagents although its available in superdrugs, tescos and woolworths etc at £1.75. theres often free gifts such as handbags and makeup which are ok, but that also isnt the reason i buy it. Althought the ... more

This is a great magazine, aimed at the teenage girl audience. Inside it often features interviews with gorgeous male pop stars!!!!, beauty, health, sex, life and general tips and deals with problems. Inside are lists of telephone numbers of associations to help children such as Childline, and the Sex line, etc. It has great colour, eyecatching and glossy, and it often has a free gift. There are usually posters, adverts, coupons, addresses, index of shop telephone numbers such as Claires, Accessorize, TopShop, and so on. It is sold at a reasonable price, something like one pund eighty, and is ... more

Advantages Advantages Helps young girls with everyday important issues.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price is a little much concidering this is supposed to be marketed for young teenage girls.

I first started buying this teen magazine about 3 years ago.It was £1.60 I saw it on sale at my local super market and it was a massive £2.00. The magazine deals with a lot of important issues,a lot of them not really relavent to 13-14 year olds,i.e contraceptions!!!!!! Overall though i found it quite a reliable source. It has fasion pages, problem pages, scopes, music and film pages, and a most embarrasing page. It also has real life stories page. You get "free" things with it too. As "Bliss" is marketing this magazine to teenage girls, who have very little money, you think they would put it at an ... more
