bob the builder website

Advantagesgreat fun for kids,

Disadvantagesnone

"...I think has heard of bob the builder and his team of trusty machines, that include Scoop, Lofty, dizzy, muck, Dizzy, Travis, Wendy and co. who help him in his days work around the town. Even my mother, who lives overseas had heard of bob the builder! The website, www.bobthebuilder.com has been set up as an extension of the television programme and to introduce the Internet to children, not that they need much introduction these days, many children ..." OUR BOB'S A REGULAR MR FIXIT

AdvantagesKeeps the kids happy - need I say more?

DisadvantagesStories can be a bt repetetive - this doesn't seem to bother the kidsmuch though

"...girl had been given a Bob the builder toy – at the time, I had never heard of him. Now, he is all over the house not to mention the TV. I suppose the first thing to do is to introduce the characters from the show: Bob – the main character (hence the name of the programme!) It seems that he can turn his hand to anything – no job is too big or too small. Wendy – Bob’s sidekick and right-hand woman. Helps out on ..." Read review

He's no Cowboy

AdvantagesGreat and easy for the kids

DisadvantagesNone to mention

"...heard those words, uttered by Bob and his band of merry builders. Those of you from the UK, most certainly, but for those who have not, then I would assume that you have not been a parent or grandparent, or uncle/aunty during the last four or five years. So… what’s it all about, Borgy? Bob is a builder (no prizes for working that one out). He has a building firm, and working for him are lots of talking machines and Wendy (who I always thought ..." Can he fix it......

AdvantagesVery good for children of all ages! and adults too!

Disadvantagesapart from the theme tune that gets stuck in your head, nothing

"Yes he can! Bob the Builder is one of my sons favourite programmes at the moment along with Thomas the tank engine and the tweenies. I hired out two Bob the builder videos per week for him from the local Library and he sits glued to them and then when they are finished he wants them on again and again until I know all the words to every episode. Saying this though they are brilliant, and have a very good moral to every story. My favourite ..." Read review

Can he fix it?

Advantagesgreat

Disadvantages

"Bob the builder is my toddlers favourite programme. We are often given a rendition of BOB THE BUILDER CAN HE FIX IT........at full pelt! This is actually quite good. One think I like about it is the fact that unlike some toddler tv this programme is not sexist, Wendy gets to fix things as well! Neil Morrisey's voice overs are really good as well.Basically the show is about bob and wendy fixing various things with there talking diggers cranes and truck. ..." Read review

Can he fix it yes he can

Advantages-

Disadvantages-

"...shout back ‘Yes we can’. Bob who is a builder always encounters a problem but for Bob no problem is to big and he soon fixes it after a little drama, mishap in between, the conclusion is always a happy one. There are some other characters like Wendy who helps Bob out with most tasks, there’s Muck a red truck who has a fear of tunnels. Lofty who is scared of heights, he’s a crane. There’s Rolly the roller Scoop ..." Read review

Can he fix it

Advantagesvery good

Disadvantagescan get boring

"...can’. It’s good to watch Bob fixing problems at his construction site. He has the help of his wife Wendy, Dizzy the mixer and even Spud the scarecrow including a lot of other objects which help Bob. It can be quite funny, and I do hear my nephew chuckle as Dizzy does something stupid. There’s a lot of posters, bed covers, and even music accompanying Bob the Builder, it’s good to watch, the concept is good and I would ..." Read review

Bob The Builder now on PC as well as TV

AdvantagesBob giiives clear instructions on each activity

DisadvantagesIf the kiddies are quick to learn then they may tire of this game very quickly.

"...no exception runs mental when Bob comes on off he goes singing at the top of his voice, so it was a natural progressive move that after watching the TV and Videos he would want the PC game. Well we readily parted with the £20 odd quid in our local shop and raced home to install it on the PC. It's a bit slow to start (which is more than likely my systems fault) but then we are greeted with the imortal song "Bob The Builder" before the rest is out ..." Read review

Bobs Your Uncle . . .

Advantagesquite entertaining.

DisadvantagesToo many repeats - not enough variety Kids soon get bored.

"...quite simplistic . It's about Bob who's a builder and his machinery and a few other characters. The voice of Bob is supplied by Neil Morrisey, who must have made a few bob(sic)from the series. All the stories are based around what Bob is doing that day. One of the reasons I think my children are bored with it is, there seems to have been very few programmes made.cThey have always seen it before, and so they get bored. I don't know how many different ..." Read review

HE HAS FIXED IT

Advantagesgood for children

Disadvantagestoo repeatative

"Bob the builder is a very popular childrens cartoon type television program, and toy. Books have been written and many of them used for the bedtime stories for the children. Following suit however of such-like tweenies they have decided to issue a record for the christmas. While this is fine it is deffinately one for the children. Definately not one I would suggest for the adults. After hearing my granddaughter play it on the sterio hi-fi for must ..." Read review

Handy Andy for four year olds

AdvantagesPilchard

DisadvantagesIts about building

"Bob the builder is in the same mould as postman pat and fireman sam. The program has a builder called Bob who completes building products with his talkative diggers, cement mixers etc. The charm of the program is that as well as Bob there are plenty of other characters and there is always a sub-plot involving someone else. This makes the program less centered around Bob(who can be very boring). The building work is shown in a semi-realistic ..." Read review

Bobs not bad

Advantagesquite interesting- bearable for parents

Disadvantagesshort program

"...is in the grip of Bob fever. He will sit ready to watch ,with my old hard hat on, and his toy toolbelt. Normally I would be quite worried at these early signs of TV addiction, but luckily, as soon as the program is over he will rush out into the garden to go and build. It is not a bad little program at all. Nice and colourful, good little story every time and a theme tune that is catchy as hell, i've caught myself whistling it more than once while ..." Read review

Can he do it. YES HE CAN.

AdvantagesGood for the young

Disadvantagesnone

"I think that Bob the Builder is an excellent show for young children. For around a year now my 3 year old brother has been watching the show and has gradually collected all of the videos. I think that the show teaches young children a lot whilst entertaining them. It shows them how to be kind, how to share and also shows a lot of important morals. Due to my brother watching the show he has also started to role play things from the programmes. ..." Read review
