Everyone I think has heard of bob the builder and his team of trusty machines, that include Scoop, Lofty, dizzy, muck, Dizzy, Travis, Wendy and co. who help him in his days work around the town. Even my mother, who lives overseas had heard of bob the builder! The website, www.bobthebuilder.com has been set up as an extension of the television programme and to introduce the Internet to children, not that they need much introduction these days, many children are better at understanding the net than their parents! The site is very easy to navigate, you can even download the bob the builder video ... more

Advantages Advantages Keeps the kids happy - need I say more?

Disadvantages Disadvantages Stories can be a bt repetetive - this doesn't seem to bother the kidsmuch though

About a year ago, my daughter went to a birthday party and the birthday girl had been given a Bob the builder toy – at the time, I had never heard of him. Now, he is all over the house not to mention the TV. I suppose the first thing to do is to introduce the characters from the show: Bob – the main character (hence the name of the programme!) It seems that he can turn his hand to anything – no job is too big or too small. Wendy – Bob’s sidekick and right-hand woman. Helps out on the office side of things and has not been unknown to get her hands dirty helping on ... more

Can we fix it? Yes we can! I am sure most of you have heard those words, uttered by Bob and his band of merry builders. Those of you from the UK, most certainly, but for those who have not, then I would assume that you have not been a parent or grandparent, or uncle/aunty during the last four or five years. So… what’s it all about, Borgy? Bob is a builder (no prizes for working that one out). He has a building firm, and working for him are lots of talking machines and Wendy (who I always thought was his wife, but watching some of the episodes recently I realised was not!). It is a children’s ... more

Advantages Advantages Very good for children of all ages! and adults too!

Yes he can! Bob the Builder is one of my sons favourite programmes at the moment along with Thomas the tank engine and the tweenies. I hired out two Bob the builder videos per week for him from the local Library and he sits glued to them and then when they are finished he wants them on again and again until I know all the words to every episode. Saying this though they are brilliant, and have a very good moral to every story. My favourite story is Bob's Birthday in which they all pretend to forget that its his birthday and send him off to work as usual and then whilst he is at work Wendy makes ... more

Bob the builder is my toddlers favourite programme. We are often given a rendition of BOB THE BUILDER CAN HE FIX IT........at full pelt! This is actually quite good. One think I like about it is the fact that unlike some toddler tv this programme is not sexist, Wendy gets to fix things as well! Neil Morrisey's voice overs are really good as well.Basically the show is about bob and wendy fixing various things with there talking diggers cranes and truck. This is one toddler tv programme that I dont really mind give it ago with your toddler and very soon you'll be singing BOB THE BUILDER CAN HE ... more

During the holidays I have been watching quite a lot of cartoons whilst babysitting my little nephew and ‘Bob the Builder’ is one he really likes. He was so enthralled by it that I decided to by him the video which went down really well with him. The weird thing is that when you watch ‘Bob the Builder’ you can’t get the tune out of you’re head, it’s very catchy and I suppose the amount of times they say it it’s bound to stick in your head. It is a cartoon animation and each programme starts a new story although you can’t tell by the fact ... more

A excellent animated programme to keep my little nephew occupied, to adults it may not seem much. But trust me it’s excellent for little boys. It may seem repetitive after only watching a few episodes but kids do love it. The most common phrase is ‘Can we fix it’ and then everyone replies including my little nephew ‘ Yes we can’. It’s good to watch Bob fixing problems at his construction site. He has the help of his wife Wendy, Dizzy the mixer and even Spud the scarecrow including a lot of other objects which help Bob. It can be quite funny, and I do hear my ... more

Bob the Builder can he fix it Yes he can. Well he fixes it for my two year old daughter it is one of her favourite programmes at the moment. Then there is the naughty spud who travels on Travis the tractor. Advantages Advantages Bob giiives clear instructions on each activity

Disadvantages Disadvantages If the kiddies are quick to learn then they may tire of this game very quickly.

We've all seen him, and yes we all know he can fix it. My youngest being no exception runs mental when Bob comes on off he goes singing at the top of his voice, so it was a natural progressive move that after watching the TV and Videos he would want the PC game. Well we readily parted with the £20 odd quid in our local shop and raced home to install it on the PC. It's a bit slow to start (which is more than likely my systems fault) but then we are greeted with the imortal song "Bob The Builder" before the rest is out i'm greeted with "CAN WE FIX IT" at 90 decibells. Next up we meet Wendy ... more

    Advantages Advantages quite entertaining.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too many repeats - not enough variety Kids soon get bored.

This programme is quite short ,it lasts about fifteen minutes. When it came out at first my children used to ask when it was coming on , and they used to look forward to it. But that has all changed, they hardly ever ask about it now , and my oldest child (nearly three) has asked for it to be turned to "something good" when it has come on TV recently. The actual programme is quite simplistic . It's about Bob who's a builder and his machinery and a few other characters. The voice of Bob is supplied by Neil Morrisey, who must have made a few bob(sic)from the series. All the stories are based ... more
