A Soft and Smooth Bodd
Review of Boddington's Draught Bitter by proxam

Advantages: A good, refreshing thirst quencher
Disadvantages: A little light on flavour

BODDINGTONS has been around for over 200 years, and is well known for its creamy head and smooth body. It is now sold in over 30 countries worldwide, and can be drunk on tap far and wide in such places as New Zealand and Hong Kong. In 2000 the Whitbread Beer Company (brewers of Boddingtons) became part of Interbrew, the famous Belgian brewer. Due to the company’s clever marketing, Boddington’s has become famous as the cream of Manchester. ... Read review

Strangeways There We Came
Review of Boddington's Draught Bitter by Champ666

Advantages: Was Once A Great Beer
Disadvantages: Wales Is Not Manchester

Boddingtons Bitter (once the cream of Manchester) comes in two varieties, the bland and insipid keg variety and the oh so wonderful Cask variety. For those of you who do not know the difference between the two the keg variety is a dead beer meaning that there is no live yeast in the product and all conditioning is done at the brewery. The Cask conditioned variety contains live yeast and variety is conditioned in the cellar by the publican, ... Read review

is it the real cream of manchester
Review of Boddington's Draught Bitter by chew.barker

Advantages: goes down a treat
Disadvantages: hangovers

Boddingtons (or boddies as we experienced drinkers call it) is the perfect drink for casual nights down the local, it a crisp smooth bitter with a very full and creamy head. It relies heavily on its comical advertising campaign the male cow with the udders? And it needs to be served in the correct manor, if your pint of boddies has head falling over the sides invariably it has been served incorrectly and this ruins the taste of the pint. The ... Is it The Cream of Manchester
Review of Boddington's Draught Bitter by ashford

Advantages: Low opn Carbonation. Mass market beer. Thick head
Disadvantages: Could be a bit more bitter

Manchester is famous for having produced numerous pop bands, its Universities, Man Utd FC and Boddington's,which is often called ... "the Cream of Manchester". This bitter is some 3.8% alcohol by volume (ABV),so it is by no means the strongest beer around despite what Mancunians tell you. It is certainly a well known bitter and is widely and some would say, very astutely marketed by Whitbread. It is amber in colour, smooth, milky and fairly light. ... Read review

The Cream Of Manchester
Review of Boddington's Draught Bitter by wampyrii

Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review

Boddington's is a bitter which has entered the folklore history of the industry due an extremely clever, humourous advertising campaign which has brought it many of the industry's top awards. But what is it like as a drink - does it live up to all the hype? Well...damn good and yes it does are the answers! Boddingtons is a smooth creamy beer with a dark brown colour and a smooth creamy texture. When poured you are greeted with a large milky head ... Read review

I LOVE BODDINGTONS, IT TASTES BLOOMING GORGEOUS.
Review of Boddington's Draught Bitter by SHUNZ1

Advantages: lovely tasting, very easy to drink doesn't leave you bloated.
Disadvantages: you don't get a full pint from a can.

I've been drinking for so long, I think I started drinking when I was about 12 years old, terrible huh? The first thing I ever had was Lager, used to enjoy a good pint of Carlsberg and Heineken, lovely stuff. Then I started drinking cider, in my teens. I'm a very big fan of sweet cider, especially Woodpecker. I never really liked the dry stuff though. Now I enjoy a nice drop of whiskey and I love bitter. I especially like the taste of Boddingtons ... Read review

Summer is here
Review of Boddington's Draught Bitter by joebrindle

Advantages: Nice Taste
Disadvantages: None

boddingtons is a beer which can be found in many versions and is supported by a very strong advertising campaign. the two main beers are the basic bitter at about 3.8% and gold which comes in at about 4.8%. boddingtons is a very creamy beer to taste and has got a long refreshing flavour to it. it is the bitter which i feel comes closest to replicating the thirst quenching features of lager on a long, hot summer's day. the major marketing for boddingtons ...
