Body Shop Sweet Lemon Shower Gel I've written a few reviews now, all regaling my new found love of Body Shop products. The first items I purchased were Satsuma, and all the products in the collection; it was so fresh and fruity. Being impressed with the fragrance and quality, I immediately purchased items in the Sweet Lemon range and the shower gel is the main subject of this review. My Order I placed my order on the website www.bodyshop.co.uk and typed Sweet Lemon in the search box. All the products in the range came up, and I purchased the shower gel at an unbelievably low price of £2.00. It ... more

Advantages Advantages fabulous lemon-y scent, really wakes up, cleanses well, no animal testing

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Wake up!! Today I'll review the shower gel "Sweet Lemon" by The Body Shop. Shopper's appeal I really like The Body Shop and have been buying their products for quite a few years now. I like the fact that they have many different types of scents and that you can get almost any product with that smell if it appeals to you. I also think it's great that they support Community Trade (a programme similar to Fair Trade) and that they do not test their products on animals. I usually buy my Body Shop products in an outlet shop in the Netherlands. I go there about every three months and then stock up on ... more

For my birthday, I was given this shower gel in conjuction with a shower set which contained body butter to. I'd only ever bought the small bottles of shower gels from the Body Shop as little treats for myself whenever I had a bit of extra money, so having a giant bottle of the shower gel I'd grown to love was a great birthday present. I prefer the Body Shop to Lush as I've used them more often and prefer them. The Body Shop don't test on animals which is always nice to know, and they stop my skin from coming out in weird rashes which is what it can sometimes do whenever any products touch my ... more

    Advantages Advantages smells great

    Disadvantages Disadvantages bit pricey

I was recently buying a few birthday presents in the Body Shop when I decided to throw in a few things for myself. I have always liked the Body Shop's range as they have a really wide range of scents that appeal to me. I needed a new shower gel so after looking through the range, I decided to pick up the lemon one as it seemed so unusual to have this as a scent for shower gel and it seemed like it was worth giving a try. I think the layout of the shop is so colourful that it lures people in but one thing I do think is that their products are quite overpriced. PACKAGING The packaging for this ... more

I recieved a large bottle of this shower gel as a random little gift a few weeks ago from my boyfriend's Mum, who like me is a big fan of The Body Shop's cosmetic and skin care range. I suffer with eczema and dry skin, and she was kind enough to have bought me this as it is soap free and apparently it really helped clear up her daughter's eczema. I was over the moon to recieve this as I absolutely love The Body Shop's range of shower gels and as I already have the sweet lemon scented body butter, I knew that I would like the smell as the sweet lemon fragrance really does smell good enough to ... more

Advantages Advantages Lathers well and smells diviine

Disadvantages Disadvantages More expensive than other brands

Review of The Body Shop Sweet Lemon Shower Gel I love Body Shop products and have generally found them to be pretty good. True, they are more expensive than some other brands, but the quality is generally excellent as is the choice of fragrances and so on. Body Shop products can be purchased from the companies High Street stores or their web site. The Shower Gel The shower gel is presented in a round plastic squeezy bottle containing 250ml of gel. I believe it also comes in a larger pump action bottle containing 750ml. but mine is the smaller version. I paid £4 for this shower gel, which is of ... more

Advantages Advantages Leaves skin soft and smooth, smell is to die for, often on offer, lasts for ages

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit expensive, lid is too hard to open!

The facts and figures: You can pick up a 60ml travel mini for £2, or regular 250ml bottle for £4, although they are frequently included in promotions, for example at the time of writing the regular size are 2 for £6 or 3 for £8. The packaging is fairly simple, the bottle is quite a traditional chunky shape which I like as it is stable and never gets knocked off the side of the bath like those skinny bottles always seem to, all going clattering down together like skittles! The bottle is transparent so you can easily see how much is left and has a flip top lid. I mentioned in my review of the ... more
