My little girl is teething and now with her two front teeth already here some of the back ones are trying to break through. I try to keep her away from medicine when possible, but at times it is really unbearable for her. I find myself moving towards more trusted brands with my children, and as I had personally had good experiences with Bonjela before I decided on their teething gel. The gel is widely available at chemists and supermarkets and it costs around £3 for a small 15g tube. It appears in a toothpaste type tube and it looks almost identical to the adult version in a blue colour with ... more

    Advantages Advantages Effective, sweet tasting

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't work quite as fast as they state

I think every baby, to different extents, suffer with teething pain. It’s horrible to see your baby in pain and you do all you can to help ease it for them. My daughter suffered quite bad early on, then had a break from teething for quite a while, until her back molars started to make an appearance atleast. They were the worst by far, cue, teething gel! Packaging and information Bonjela teething gel comes in almost the same packaging as the normal adult Bonjela, with a blue cardboard box and the contrasting white product name, the only difference is the cute baby picture on the box. Inside the ... more

Bonjela Teething Gel There is nothing worse than trying to calm and comfort a child who is in pain. Teething pain can be terrible for tiny babies to endure and as a parent you want to be able to stop the pain for them so that they can have a comfortable night's sleep. My little girl has just, as nearly 4 months, started to become bothered by her teeth coming in and although nothing is showing yet, we know by her dribbling, her flushed cheeks and her sharp, pained cries that they are definately on their way. I bought this in Scotland, on our recent trip to see the Grandparents, and was ... more

Bonjela teething gel My little boy is growing up extremely fast four months have already past and unfortunately for him he seems to have been teething the past fortnight. It first start with extreme drooling which then led to rosy red cheeks and an irritable mood which he would snap out of. Fortunately for the both of us I have already purchased this item whilst back in the UK, so it was at hand should it be required. The Bonjela teething packaging is more or less identical to the adults Bonjela, I would therefore suggest storing them away from each other just in case you accidently pick up ... more

    Advantages Advantages Trusted brand

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Makes area sting

When our baby began teething we promptly bought both Bonjela and Calgel teething gels to ease his gums. Although very receptive to the taste of the Calgel teething gel, he soon began clamping his mouth shut when presented with the Bonjela. I recently had a wisdom tooth breaking through my gum and took the opportunity to try out both teething gels. I found that the Bonjela made the area sting for a while before numbing it. The Calgel did not. I can only presume that this is the reason our son does not let it near his teething gums. Bonjela teething gel is packaged inside a blue box depicting ... more

It's teething time in our house and we need a little bit of relief. My little girl has two shiny new bottom teeth but they came at a bit of a painful price. Our only friend in this whole process was Bonjela teething gel. I had heard about this gel before and was aware it was fairly good and had also received lots of positive recommendations from other mums when I talked to them about teething so this was really the only antiseptic pain relief I was looking for when I bought it in Boots. Bonjela is basically a gel that contains local anaesthetic which helps to relieve pain and soothe sore gums ... more

Advantages Advantages Great for babies as it eases the pain of teething.

Disadvantages Disadvantages My son likes it a little too much and cry's when I finish rubbing it over his gums!

Bonjela Teething Gel.Bonjela Teething Gel is a must have item when you have a teething baby.... as I do! My seven month old son has just had his bottom two teeth come through in the same week and he was very grouchy and seemed in pain. I popped to the pharmacy and purchased some Bonjela as when I have used it in the past for my previous three children it has worked fantastically! It's fairly easy to spot on the shelf amongst the other baby products and come in a small cardboard box, upon opening this you will find a small tube which is also clearly labelled so not to confuse it with other ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can take upto 15 minutes to kick in.

Why did I buy Bonjela Teething Gel? At the age of 3 months I noticed Isabella may have started teething. The signs were there like rosey cheeks, grizzling and dribbling alot more. So I went upto my local Sainsbury's and bought this for around £3.00. I brought it home and used it straight away. Did it Work? It did work and stopped Izzy from grizzling but at that age I think they dont really know what they want. However as she approaches 1 next month and has got 7 teeth already, I am noticing I'm using it more as she is finding the back teath harder to deal with. The other night she cried all ... more

    Advantages Advantages Tastes great.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Difficult to apply.

It is something that every parent rushes out to buy at the first sign of teething. Personally I would rather give birth again than have tooth ache so I want to do everything possible to help when my child is in pain. I rushed straight down to the shops, almost celebrating buying my first baby Bonjela. My first problem was that Bonjela did such a good job perfecting the taste that all my daughter could do was suck it off my finger, it was a struggle to get it anywhere near her gums. The second problem came when she had a few little teeth. If I had got passed the hoover like sucking I then had ... more
