Advantages Advantages Simple to use, nice fragrance and gives a deep down clean

Disadvantages Disadvantages None I'm aware of

When it comes to toner it's the single product I get through the most when it comes to my beauty routine. I love the stuff and I guess because it's like water and I use it really regularly that's the whole reason I'm constantly re-buying it! For me toner is an incredibly important part of cleansing my skin and keeping it clean and bright. I don't just use it after cleansing products to remove any of that residue. I'll use some on a cotton wool pad straight after having a bath or shower as my skin is prone to feeling very tight after being in contact with water. I'll use it for a quick freshen ... more

Advantages Advantages smells nice, benefits your skin, good value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages does not clear blemishes completely

I have been using this toner for a little while now and I have to say I am very impressed with everything about it. I do not usually buy the Boots own brands but after reading a review about it I thought I would give it a go. Packaging The toner comes in a long sleek bottle which is see through and has a screw top silver lid. The main selling point of the botanics range is that it is natural and uses “the power of plants”. This aspect is seen on the labelling of the bottle which uses shades of green and a design of a plant. The toner itself looks green in the bottle as well. Scent When you ... more

Advantages Advantages Minimises pores and removes oil

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can increase sensitivity to the sun

As you can see from my recent reviews, I have been trying out the Botanics skincare range as it is much more affordable then my usual skin care items! I have to say, I am absolutely loving some of the products from this line and this is one of them! Priced at £3.99 for 250mls I think this is a very affordable product. I have been using it since July and am now down to 1/3 of a bottle, so I think it is safe to say that this product lasts! To use this product I simply pour a small amount onto a cotton pad and sweep over my entire face, like you would with most other toners. The aim of this toner ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells nice, affordable price, quality results

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I am a person who likes to use toner before I go to bed, and after I wake up in the mornings to keep my skin fresh, alongside with moisturisers etc. I had the entire Vitamin E set from The Body Shop, but as well all know, their prices in their are not to be taken lightly - as awesome as their products are, as a student, I can't always afford them! So, in desperate need of some toner, I had a sieve through Boots to see if I could find a good quality toner at a decent price (e.g. anything under £5 preferably, yes, that's how poor I was!) So, I came across the Boots Botanics range, and had a look ... more

Advantages Advantages Active botanical ingredients, tingly feeling upon application,

Disadvantages Disadvantages Does little for the complexion, short-lived fresh feeling

This toner claims to brighten the skin using botanical power. Upon using the product for a few months however (morning and evening post-cleansing), i did notice a slight change in complexion but not much. It did however aid in the thorough removal of my cleanser. Upon application, the feeling of the toner on the skin was cool and tingly but disappeared within the first few seconds, it felt nice though. Post-toning freshness was short lived and it didn't have much of a scent either, if anything there was a slight plant-like fragrance(?) which may not be suited to all tastes, especially if what ... more
