Advantages Advantages Cheap, help a lot with hayfever

Disadvantages Disadvantages I have a severe cat allergy and although these do help a bit, they don't completely work

I've suffered badly with hayfever since I was little and although I usually treat this with piriton, I am not at all brand loyal. When it comes to basic things like pain or allergy relief, I usually opt for the cheapest option because let's face it, there are much more exciting things to spend money on! This is why I decided to try these hayfever and allergy relief tablets from Boots; at £4.49 for fourteen tablets, they're around 60 pence less than Piriton, which is a decent saving. Larger packs of 30 and 60 are also available. These are also currently on offer - buy one get one free, which I ... more

Advantages Advantages Very quick to act, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Do not always provide long-lasting relief

It's that time of year again...the dreaded hayfever season has finally arrived. In the past, I have suffered quite badly from hayfever, but few tablets seemed to relieve the main symptoms effectively. When I started getting symptoms the other day, I wanted a quick cure. Previously, I would have turned to major brands like Clarityn and Benadryl but as neither of these has worked that well for me in the past, I thought I would try an own brand instead. On this occasion, I opted for Boots own brand hayfever relief tablets. In my experience, own brands can be just as effective at relieving ... more

    Advantages Advantages work well

Disadvantages Disadvantages take a while to kick in and are a little expensive

I seem to suffer hayfever quite bad throughout the spring and summer months, especially because I live in the country, my worst nightmare is when the farmers who live close to me start cutting the fields, however I have since found Boots Hayfever and Allergy tablets that make my symptoms a lot more manageable. To take these tablets you simply swallow one a day, they are really easy to swallow as they are tiny. I like to take these tablets at night time before I go to sleep as they are not the non-drowsy range, I have used the non-drowsy range before, but I found they left me feeling anxious ... more

Advantages Advantages relieve symptoms of hayfever

Disadvantages Disadvantages If you miss one, symptoms return fast

I have had mild hayfever for the past couple of years, but this summer (if you can call it that), it has been particularly bad. I would still describe it as mild compared to how some people get it, but I've been suffering with streaming eyes and nose as well as sneezing fits when I get anywhere near a flower. Browsing the shelves at Boots, I noticed that their hayfever remedies were on a buy one get one free offer, so I picked up a couple of boxes. ~About the product~ Boots sell two own brand hayfever remedies - a regular one, which comes in an orange box, and a non-drowsy version which comes ... more

4 Stars not to be sneezed at Review with images 19/06/2006

Advantages Advantages non drowsy, one a day

Disadvantages Disadvantages doesnt work for everyone

My son has suffered from hayfever for a number of years and I have probably tried most of the childrens products available. This year as he is a little older I decided to find out which of the tablets were suitable for him as I am getting a little tired of messing about with oral syringes and sticky mixtures so off to Boots I went. I spoke to one of the healthcare assistants (wonderfully helpful people who can provide a vast amount of help without you having to speak to the pharmacists who are available but you usually have to wait a while). She went through his health in general, any other ... more
