...not ever consider buying from Boots Appliances. In short, they delivered the wrong appliance, on the wrong day, with a dent - and we have had to pay extra for the privilege. It has one star in the rating as you can't give it none.
We ordered a new fridge freezer in mid July, for delivery on a Monday in Mid-August. Despite a phone call on the Thursday before and an e-mail on the Friday morning confirming the delivery on the Monday, we returned from ... ...spent the day battling with Boots to try to get them to send us a replacement ASAP - fridges and freezers being quite useful in the middle of the summer (even a British one!). The best they could do was send us a different make and model - which we had to search their website for - and it was going to cost us and extra £100. It took a further 4 phone calls with various levels of incompetent managers without an ounce of initiative between them to ...

Their prices are great , I couldnt find better, and their customer service is first class, but their delivery service will leave you totally lost for words. I ordered 5 major appliances and they delivered only 2 of them and the 2 they actually managed to deliver turned out to be the wrong colour!. They couldnt then deliver for another 3 days ...

...the delivery serivce offered by Boots is depressingly similar to others on this website. I wish I had read them before purchasing and bought somewhere else! I went for Boots because I thought (incorrectly as it turned out) that the service would be good because it was Boots. The website and purhcase part of the process was fine, since then the delivery experience has been dreadful. I paid the extra charge for next day delivery and recieved a text ... ...no-one from Boots thought to inform me that the delivery was not to be made. I have rearranged for a third delivery date; this is exactly what I wanted to avoid - the endless waiting and date changing - by paying an addition fee. Next time I will buy elsewhere. ...

...no circumstances buy anything from Boots Kitchen Appliances. I bought a cooker online and was to have it delivered on a Saturday. They informed me of a 4 hour delivery slot on the previous day. It was to be delivered between 7am and 11am. I was called on 7am to inform me they were on their way. They arrived at 8am and got me out of bed. Then informed me they had a dishwasher instead of a cooker. I ask you!!! We arranged another Saturday and was informed ... ...and they did not turn up. Was not called with any explanation. I have ordered a dishwasher and received order and delivery date confirmation e-mail, however one day before delivery I received a call that the delivery has to be postopned by 3 working days . I agreed with the new date only to receive another call one day before new delivery date that the applicance I ordered in no longer is stoclk. I agreed to reconsider and ordered a new dishwasher that was 90 pounds more expensive, additionally I paid 10 more ... ...received a call from the driver and we agreed that the delivery would be done at 3 PM, however in the morning I found a notication sheet in my mail slot, i.e. the driver showed up in the morning while I was sleeping. When I first called customer support they promised to give me a call back that I haven't received. Ordering the product went very smoothly - that's where the smooth experience ended. 2 days before delivery I was phoned and told it would be delivered on time, then they tried to sell me an extended warranty - I declined! The day before delivery they phoned again to say there was a problem and my order would be delayed several weeks! The day before the new delivery date I was given a 4 hour time slot - 7am - 11am. (It was an automated call, but it ... ...that!! I waited, nothing came. I phoned at 11.15 - driver not available. I phoned at 1pm - driver delayed, they'll try and get to me by 3pm!! ...buy a domestic appliance from Boots on-line. They twice failed to provide the item ordered and offered compensation which never came. All told terrible service and hopeless customer relations. At the beginning of January I placed an order for a fridge freezer, A few days later I was phoned to say the item had been discontinued.
On further checking I was told that this was not the case, but that I would have to wait three weeks for delivery. Ordered Bosch dishwasher on the Tuesday and was promised delivery following Monday, both by Email and confirmed by telephone message. On the Thursday telephone message to say no delivery as promised and could not say when dishwasher would be delivered from the manufacturer. Advised to chose something else instead.
What a shambles when I repeatedly asked if the item was in stock before I placed the order. Buyer beware of this company saying item in stock. What a pity that Boots is being brought into disrepute by such poor service. ...

...our 1st floor flat, despite boots being informed by ourselves on 3 different occasions that this was the case. I would definitely NOT recommend this company to anyone. Their sheer incompetence was unbelievable. So we now have to start all over again looking for a fridge/freezer after 6 weeks of expecting one to be delivered. The inconvenience cannot be compensated enough, we were promised a phonecall to discuss compensation on the final failed delivery ...

THE WORST RETAILER I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. Avoid at all costs. We spent nearly £2000 with Boots (actually DRL Ltd) and were deceived and insulted by them. Weeks of frustration and anger dealing with their arrogance, incompetence and ignorance of even the most basic consumer law have left us reeling with shock. Only by going to Boots HQ in Nottingham were we able to "resolve" the situation. They were so horrified by our treatment at the hands of DRL Ltd that they offered to cover our financial losses immediately. We shopped with "Boots" because we trust the brand. The idiots at DRL will damage that brand, which is a shame. We will never shop at Boots ever again. AVOID ...

Worst Experience
Bought Washing Machine & Fridge Freezer online and paid for connection service. First delivery attempt - wrong Washing Machine colour delivered. Second planned delivery to correct error, driver arrived earlier than planned but would not wait, so I had re-arrange another date.
Finally 4 weeks after buying the product right colour Washing Machine was delivered, driver proceeded to connect and after completeion I signed delivery note ... ...product.
On reading the manual, I realised I should have the spanner and the transit bolts for future, I checked the back of the machine but found instead a dent on the new machine which the fitter did not tell me.
So called to ask for these accessories and report dent. I was told it was their practice not to leave these accessories and it was my responsibility to check machine condition before / after fitting. So far no progress - worst service ...

...Despite numerous calls to Boots in the afternoon (the call centre staff are very polite but nothing happens) and no calls back, the machine eventually arrived at 5:30pm. I had to take a full (precious) days holiday instead of the intended half a day, and most of the night to instal it. Boots refuse to provide any compensation. They'll get no more business from me, and I'd recommend from you too! ...
