...Despite numerous calls to Boots in the afternoon (the call centre staff are very polite but nothing happens) and no calls back, the machine eventually arrived at 5:30pm. I had to take a full (precious) days holiday instead of the intended half a day, and most of the night to instal it. Boots refuse to provide any compensation. We did our research into a new washer dryer and trawled the high street for a precious day off. Returned home and checked online for rewviews and prices. Boots Kitchen appliances (run by DRL behind Sainburys and MFI and just about every other kitchen appliance site online) had a good price and looked reliable so ordered with them. Had a call 24hrs later to tell me that they didnt have it in stock and would I like the lesser version. No. Quite frankly, that is why I did my research and ordered what I wanted. Turns out they you dont order online at all, just arrange for a availability/delivery/payment call within 48hrs. Quite pointless really, they got really irritable when we would not accept!

Ordered almost 2 months ago now, and am truly learning that you get what you pay for in life. Yes they may be cheap, but be warned, just because the website says it's in stock, doesn't actually mean that it is.. and when they do finally get it in stock, they have a habit of losing it.. 3 times i've taken time off work to take delievry only for them to fail to deliver. So as yet no new washing machine for me..

Excellent customer services from start to finish. Well recommended. I cannot fault them. Good price, points as well. Emailed very quickly to confirm delivery day and then telephoned a couple of days before to reconfirm. Telephoned me the night before to give a 4 hour window and then had two call from the van in the am to give me an update on where they were. I will def be using them again. Superb. Why cant other companies be like this? Washing machine great too.

Disadvantages: no stock. 2 failed deliveries. incompetent customer services team from both boots and the delivery company.

...our 1st floor flat, despite boots being informed by ourselves on 3 different occasions that this was the case. I would definitely NOT recommend this company to anyone. Their sheer incompetence was unbelievable. So we now have to start all over again looking for a fridge/freezer after 6 weeks of expecting one to be delivered. The inconvenience cannot be compensated enough, we were promised a phonecall to discuss compensation on the final failed delivery ... Read review

I ordered an American fridge freezer and a Rangemaster range cooker with hood. I made a real mess of my order, (didn't measure my space properly!!)but Boots were fantastic! Helpfull friendly sales staff, uplifted items at no cost and changed my order at short notice! Brilliant service from start to finish. I was kept updated every step of the way, and nobody called me stupid!! Would definately recommend. Cooker is fantastic and I ended up with a very large Hoover fridge freezer which is a great alternative to the American one which I could not get through the door!

Advantages: Really easy to order and quick delivery
Disadvantages: A little bit more expensive than other online appliance companies

...I would definately buy from Boots Kitchen Appliances again as the entire experience, from product choice, through to searching online and then finally buying the product was so easy. THE WORST RETAILER I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. Avoid at all costs. We spent nearly £2000 with Boots (actually DRL Ltd) and were deceived and insulted by them. Weeks of frustration and anger dealing with their arrogance, incompetence and ignorance of even the most basic consumer law have left us reeling with shock. Only by going to Boots HQ in Nottingham were we able to "resolve" the situation. They were so horrified by our treatment at the hands of DRL Ltd that they offered to cover our financial losses immediately. We shopped with "Boots" because we trust the brand. The idiots at DRL will damage that brand, which is a shame. We will never shop at Boots ever again. AVOID

Ordered our washing machine from Boots on Thursday for delivery Tuesday morning. Slight problem - online site wouldn't take my mobile number, so ended up ordering it over the phone. Order confirmed by them by email. They said they would phone Monday evening between 5:30 and 6:30 to give more accurate delivery time which they did. Then Tuesday morning they phoned to say they would be with me in about 20 minutes which they were. Haven't used the product yet, but very happy with delivery, fitting and taking away of rubbish.

Advantages: Fabulous Oven at great price with points to spend in Boots
Disadvantages: All electric was a pain to install but Boots was first class service

...electric sealed plated. I thought the Boots price was very reasonable especially when the Advantage Points were taken into consideration. Everything went really well regards ordering and receiving the oven from Rangemaster - who gave a hotline number to call about the delivery. I thought Boots should be reliable - how wrong I was! Ordered built-in double oven on Wednesday evening for delivery next Saturday. Received e-mail confirmation of debit to credit card and confirmation of Saturday delivery. By 1:30pm no delivery received so phoned and was advised that the van had been despatched and I would definitely receive goods. At 4:30 still no goods phoned again and advised that there was no way I would receive ovens as couriers finished at 12:00. Promised return calls on several occasions. Finally on Monday discussed issue with a very sarcastic and un-helpful customer service operator who could not advise when I would receive goods so cancelled order. - STILL AWAITING REFUND

Be careful..you are not buying from Boots and the reputation of this first class retailer is being damaged by DRL Ltd who run this side of the business for all the leading supermarkets. First delivery..yes you will get an email and phone call confirming date of delivery and then on that date they cancel at the last minute with a fictional reason. Our washing machine was damaged in transit...side panel dented... driver said..clamping damage. Offered a discount which I accepted but 3 weeks later still not received. They couldn't take our old machine though we had paid for the service Advantages: Good price if you are lucky and receive what you ordered. Disadvantages:Unreliable, poor communication and service.
