Advantages: Great look & great feel

...free face powder. Boots themselves say of their foundation: "Ever so clever colour... take away the guesswork with a foundation that adjusts to match the colour of your skin for a sheer, natural finish. Velvety soft, easily blended and so amazingly light you'll forget it's even there." I have to admit that I can't argue with anything in that statement - this foundation delivers exactly what the advertising blurb promises and for me that is a rare ...

Advantages: light, velvety foundation that matches your skin
Disadvantages: May be too natural looking for evening wear

...had given me plus some Boots vouchers I had got from doing a survey. I needed some Cleanser and a new lipstick. I love bargains and I noticed if I spent £15 I would get a goody bag with several items in it, so that was how I discovered Intelligent foundation. I have lots of freckles so my skin colour is quite difficult when it comes to buying foundation. At a make-up party once the organiser used a very pale foundation as she matched it to my wrist ...

How do you use it? =============== Just as it says on the tube. But this tube (me) didn’t read all the instructions, and didn’t shake the first few times I used it, but to be honest, it is quite thick so I can’t see how shaking will have any effect. I squeeze a little onto my finger and apply to moisturised ...

...just strolling around my local Boots one afternoon, playing with Urban Decay eyeshadows and drooling over Chanel perles, when I walked past the No7 counter. Walking past without a second glance is my usual reaction to No7 counters, as they strike me as a "mum" brand, and far too old and sophisticated for the likes of me. This time, however, I was stopped in my tracks by a big pink sign. I could hardly contain my excitement - written upon this wonderful ...
...to make me squeal with joy - "500 extra Advantage Card points". All I had to do was spend £15 on No7. Quickly, I grabbed a tube of Intelligent colour foundation - in the light shade (£12.99 - only £2 to go!), and a pack of face wipes, and trotted up to the checkout to get myself £5 nearer to a Chanel lipgloss on my advantage card. Stupidly, I hadn't even tried this foundation before I splashed the cash - I'd been far too excited by the points. When ...

Intelligent Colour for Those with Perfect Skin

Advantages: Changes to match your own skin tone, feels nice
Disadvantages: Doesn't conceal anything or give any kind of coverage

When it comes to choosing foundation I inevitably end up with the wrong shade, whether it be because of the lighting in-store or just because my skin tone changes throughout the year. So with this in mind I picked up a tube of this Intelligent Colour foundation on a trip to Boots. It costs £13.75 for a 40ml tube and there are only 3 shades to choose from - light, medium and dark. I went with the medium as I have a fairly average olivey type skin ...
...a sleek black tube which is quite small and neat as foundation's go, and it looks really nice with it's gold writing. It's a squeezy tube so you just give it a squeeze to get some of the foundation out. This foundation is supposed to adjust to your skin tone to give you a sheer, natural finish. The tube also says that it's velvety soft, easily blended, and so light you'll forget it's even there. It has SPF6, which whilst it's not as much sun protection ...

...myself when I noticed that Boots No7 had an offer of buy two items and get the third free. First thing I bought was No 7 Intelligent Foundation, for two reasons. 1. It stated on the box that it was New on a green sticker stuck to the top right hand corner of the black box. I like trying new products, which is probably why I have 5 drawers full of the stuff. 2. Because I read the back of the box and I liked the part where it stated ‘Glides on effortlessly ...

I often have these lapses of common sense. I spent £26 to get an item for £4. I have kicked myself a dozen times since, as could have chosen something for the same price or near enough. I suppose anybody that reads this would have thought of that immediately but not me. I live in a world of ...

...there until I tried this, Boots No 7 Intelligent Colour. My criteria for a good foundation are demanding, I suppose; but if your foundation is wrong the whole makeup looks poor. I want : 1. Value for money. I don’t necessarily mean cheap. Two I like are Margaret Astor and Lancôme, in their water based ranges, and there’s around £8 difference in the price. So the Margaret Astor wins simply because there’s little in it for quality. 2. Ease of application. ...

I’d bought a L’Oréal which was far too heavy, and because I hate throwing bad cosmetic buys away I was diluting the stuff with moisturiser and whingeing every time I put it on. ...with the lady at the Boots make-up counter the trouble I'd had with skin (by that I mean spots). She suggested that maybe it was due to the fact that the foundation I was using was slightly too thick and causing dirt to clog in my skin. Advantages: Lasts well, blends in perfectly, even finish, leaves skin really velvety, SPF 6

...a bit more colour. The Boots No 7 Intelligent Colour foundation comes in a range of 3 colours - light, medium and dark. Although I am quite light-skinned, I use the medium colour. On squeezing it out of the bottle, it is always rather a shock to see how dark it is - but thanks to the 'intelligent colour' features, it blends in really well for a really smooth, flawless finish. Although I like my evening makeup to look a tad darker, I also like it ...
...When going out, it lasts well and stays shine-free throughout the night. It is also thick enough to hide imperfections and red cheeks, without being difficult to get off, or without rubbing off on everything around you. I definitely recommend this product - although I haven't tried the other shades, I am sure they are just as good. The colour really does adapt to your skin-tone, and goes on so easily. Intelligent, but fatally flawed

Advantages: SPF6, no need to buy an exact match
Disadvantages: Huuuge Spots

I bought the new Boots Intelligent Colour foundation a couple of weeks ago, after it's praises were sung by several magazines. I paid £12.99 for it, which is a bit more than I would normally pay, but I thought I would look great! The basic principle is that Boots have produced three shades - light, medium and dark. You decide which applies to you and the foundation then adjusts itself to your skin. Fantastic!! No more orange lines, pasty streaks ...
...Now, I'm not blaming Boots for the whole debacle. I should have got a tester and tried it out on the back of my neck or somewhere first. This is something I should know by now. I was temporarily deluded by the promises on the box. However, I still love you Boots, even though you've caused me pain. So, in conclusion, if you have sensitive skin GET A TESTER FIRST. If not, fair play to you and purchase at will. Excellent idea really, shame about my ...

...was a bit apprehensive about Boots No 7's Intelligent Colour Foundation when I first heard about it. Certainly skin colour cannot be easily categorised into 3: Light, Medium and Dark.
