    I first stumbled across this little miracle cream completely by accident. Approximately six months ago, I bought some Boots No 7 cosmetics, mascara and an eye pencil, if I remember correctly. There was some sort of ‘special offer’ on at the time, which I wasn’t aware of – spend £15.00 or more on Boots No 7 cosmetics and you get a free ‘gift pack’, consisting of a few different No 7 products, including, nail varnish, moisturising day cream, an eye-brow pencil a make up bag, and Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect Serum.     Advantages Advantages Relatively inexpensive, does smooth and moisturise skin.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Spots! Chemical smell.

    The BBC programme "Horizon" has a lot to answer for. Earlier this year it broadcast an investigation into the anti-aging properties of a variety of creams and potions, and * shock horror * announced that one of the products it tested actually seemed to work. That product was Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum. Cue women flocking to Boots in their thousands. Except me.     No 7 protect and perfect I was on a bit of a cosmetic buying spree the other week, and spurred on by the promise of extra advantage points, I found myself at the Boots No 7 counter. I bought along with a few other items because I was clutching an extra points voucher, a £5 discount voucher and was additionally enticed by the 3 for 2 offer.     In 2007 the BBC's horizon programme showed that Boots No.7's Protect and Perfect Serum was proved to reduce wrinkles following an independent study. Following this programme sales of the serum increased by over 2000%. I didn't actually watch the show, but as I shop in Boots a lot I twigged that there was something going on. Whenever I was near the No.7 counter, I would see countless women coming up asking assistants when the product would be back on sale, this was quickly followed by signs being put up all around the store announcing that it had sold out, but would be back in stock soon.     Advantages Advantages Serum which perfects the skin of a lot of women

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No longer in nice bottle

    It's been hailed as a wonder cream and sold out in days after a BBC2 Horizon programme said it was as effective at combating sun damage as other products which can only be prescribed by a doctor. So I decided to buy some the next time I was at Boots, but it was out of stock, not surprising really as they had sold 60,000 bottles in 10 days instead of 1,000 a week as they had previously! Eventually after trying on eBay for a few weeks, where one bottle sold for £100, I managed to buy a bottle at even less than the recommended price and that was including postage!     Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Serum With warmer weather on its way I thought it was probably time to drag myself out of the gutter and dust myself off. Close examination of my skin last month led me to the horrifying conclusion that at just twenty-four years of age it might be necessary to invest an anti-aging serum of some description. To be honest, if you look at my profile picture, do you suppose I look twenty-four?     I am a huge fan of the Boots No7 range and had been dying to try their protect & perfect beauty serum for a while, but as it was quite expensive I had put it off, until that is I received a sample sized tube of their serum in a gift pack I received for Christmas last year. This beauty serum was as good as I had hoped it would be. It claims to improve the skins radiance after just one use and I do agree with that.     To review this product it is important to delve into the hype that surrounded it on its release as essentially the 'hype' is good advertising and as a consumer the hype is what pulls you into the purchase. However unlike most products the hype around No 7 Protect and Perfect serum has lasted, winning Style Magazine 2009 Best Anti-Aging Product. So what was the hype?
