By my head, here come the caplets Review with images

AdvantagesSimple, effective, easy to swallow, inexpensive

DisadvantagesNot instant, won't work well on serious pain

"...will have a branch of Boots (it's a long time since they dropped "the Chemist" from their fascias!) and so they're an obvious place to turn. Not perhaps always the best, as they tend not to be the cheapest and since paracetamol can be bought over the counter in non-pharmacies it can be a better bet to go to a supermarket or Wilkinson. That said, the difference in price is likely to be only a few pence, and there can be peace of mind in buying from ..." Read review

Caplets that are so so!

AdvantagesGreat on headaches

DisadvantagesNot brill for me in other areas

"...consuming them. These I bought in Boots costing me 45p for a box of 16 of them which I thought was a very reasonable price after looking at branded products containing the same ingredients that cost rather more! The Packaging: Well these come in a white and light blue box and on the front of it we are told that they are of course Boots Paracetamol Caplets '500g' and that they are for 'The relief of headaches, rheumatic pains, neuralgia and the ..." Work for my pain.

AdvantagesEase and remove pain perfectly, easy to swallow and cheap to buy.

DisadvantagesNone for me.

"I always buy a shops own brand of paracetamol because I think they work as good as any branded kind and for a far cheaper price. I have bought these caplets a few times in the past and found them to be very effective to ease my pain. The caplets come inside a cardboard box, inside the box there are 16 caplets and 8 in each strip. The strip has a foil covering and each caplet easily pops from the foil. They are an oval shape and quite small. There ..." Read review

Boots Paracetamol Caplets

AdvantagesNice shape and easy to swallow

DisadvantagesNone at all for me

"...recently popped into my local Boots chemist to collect a prescription and picked up a box of their paracetamol caplets. Since Iíve been pregnant I have found it very difficult to take tablets, I just cant get them down. I decided to try these after my friend told me they are quite small and also a nice oval shape, round tablets are something else Iím struggling with right now. The caplets are sold in a small blue and white box with ..." Read review

Pain relief on a budget

AdvantagesWorks well

Disadvantagesnone for me

"...as I was shopping in boots for baby bits I picked them up while I was there. Even though they are expensive compared to other store brands they are still cheaper than more well known brands and do the same thing. The tablets are rather small and thin which is great for anyone that does not like taking tablets as they are so easy to swallow. One small sip of water and I was easily able to take 2 tablets which is recommended dosage. They ..." Read review

Boot that pain away

AdvantagesEffective, cheap

DisadvantagesNot as cheap as supermarkets stores own

"...are, obviously, only available from Boots stores. My experience The packaging is very basic for these Boots paracetamol caplets, but for the price who could moan? Itís a blue and white cardboard box, it has the dosage information and warnings on the back. Inside there are two foil backed trays containing 8 caplets each. There is also an information booklet enclosed, going into more detail about warnings, dosage etc. The caplets ..." Read review

Caplets with dents

AdvantagesPrice and very fast acting

DisadvantagesNon good for migraine

"...and white box with the Boots logo emblazoned across the front. The box clearly states that each caplet contains 500mg of active ingredient (paracetamol) and I usually take two tablets. They are suitable for adults and all children from over the age of 12 years. I have used these tablets enough times now to realise that they really are very effective for a pretty wide range of symptoms. The first time I took them it was for a particularly bad period ..." The price of these will ease your headache!

AdvantagesCheap but effective

DisadvantagesNone at all

"...I was in my local Boots I had a browse at their headache selection which is of course quite varied with numerous products. Shunning the ridiculously expensive brands and products I opted for the Boots Paracetamol Caplets which for a pack of 16 cost a very reasonably £0.45p! Boots being a pharmaceuticals company does give me a little comfort that these caplets will work in the hope that these are made with exactly the same ingredients than other leading ..." Read review

Boots Paracetamol Caplets Review with images

AdvantagesFrom a trusted brand, easy to swallow, clear instructions and information.

DisadvantagesNot worth paying the extra for, though they are still not expensive.

" Although I would say Boots isn't the first place that springs to mind when it comes to finding a bargain, their own brand range of medicines is one exception. Boots have a value line which carries the 'Value Health' branding, and the (slightly) more costly Boots branded range which appears to be packaged better and have more of a quality feel to it. don't understand why retailers do this, but a lot of the supermarkets that stock their own branded ..." Boots Paracetamol Caplets

AdvantagesCheap

DisadvantagesNot very fast acting with severe pain

"...cardboard box which has the Boots logo, product name and all of the information that you need written on the front. A little picture of what the tablets actually look like is also on the front - this is the same size as the actual tablets themselves, which I think is handy incase people aren't able to swallow tablets this shape/size - there's nothing worse than buying something and then realising you've picked the wrong version up! Inside the box ..." Read review

Slowly But Surely

Advantagesdoes numb pain

Disadvantagestakes a while to kick in

"...always buy my medicine from Boots as I trust them as a pharmacy and feel their products are always successful at helping me with whatever I need. I usually opt for ibuprofen when it comes to getting rid of pain but I asked the pharmacist and she recommended I take these paracetamol which I decided to give a try with as at the worst Iíd have to use my ibuprofen as a back up if they did nothing. ===PACKAGING=== These paracetamol stand out quite a ..." Boots Paracetamol caplets

Advantagescheap and work well

Disadvantagesnone

"...my latest purchase was some boots own branded ones. Boots paracetamol caplets are obviously only available to purchase from boots chemists where they cost 45p for sixteen caplets. This is a good price I think from somewhere like boots but you can pick up supermarket value range tablets for around 16p! The tablets come in a thin cardboard box which is half blue and half white and which features a boots logo as well as the product name, ..." Read review

Easy to swallow

Advantageseasy to swallow

Disadvantagesnot the cheapest

"...am reviewing here are from Boots and are the caplet form. These are the easiest to take as they are smooth and bullet like. There are tonnes of Boots around making these quite popular with me as they are easy to get hold of. There is practically a Boots on every high street so they are widely available. *Price* In a Boots packet you get 16 caplets and they cost 45p. They are Boots own brand so only available here. ..." I need some paracetamol and fast!

AdvantagesEasy to swallow, get to work fast, work very well, cheap.

DisadvantagesNone.

".../>These caplets are available in Boots stores and from the Boots website and cost just 45p for 16. This is not the cheapest that I have seen but Boots is a store near to my work so if I am in need at the time I do not mind what I pay for my pain relief.=== Overall opinion === The past few years have seen me suffering with some health problems. Broken bones, headaches and general pain ..." Read review

Boots Paracetamol Caplets - Not Quite Cheap as Chips, But Almost

Advantages Cheaper than branded paracetamol caplets

DisadvantagesMore expensive than supermarket own brand paracetamol caplets

"...need some then it's generally Boots to which I'll turn as it's the largest and easiest store to get to that sells this sort of product. Not being partial to paying the exorbitant prices expected when you buy branded goods, I prefer to look for the own brand variety for simple products such as paracetamol. Like most brands, these come in packs of 16, and each caplet contains 500mg of paracetamol, the standard dose being to take 2 tablets ..." Read review
