Good Enough for a Professional like me

Advantages: excellent consistency of prints, new digital technology - just simply the best
Disadvantages: the price - but you do pay for quality

...film to dear old 'aunty' Boots and trust it to them, but wait.. listen. It is one place that I can trust for consistency and high quality. Especially since they have recently re-kitted their main branches out with state-of-the-art Fuji digital equipment. There are times when I am out and about that I need to turn around a roll or two of film promptly - for a client to see proofs - or maybe to meet a deadline for the press. I have, in the past, been ...
...processed well - thats where Boots come in! 2 - Processing is important For the amateur in the U.K there is no better place to get your film developed and printed than at BOOTS. Yes, honestly. Like I said, they have invested in digital printing in many of there stores and YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE. There is more detail in the light and dark areas of the prints. They are also able to compensate for any erors you may make in exposure and the prints ...

Digital Photo Printing at Boots

Advantages: Quick and Easy Self Service - Quality - Professional
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest

...of my digital photos to Boots to get them printed. Boots now have self service machines for digital photos, which allow either instant, 1 hour or 24 hour printing from various sources. This can be a memory card, a photo CD, or Infra-Red direct from a compatible phone or camera. This has 2 benefits over the old over the counter method, firstly you can keep the media that the photos are on, very useful if it's your only memory card, not to mention ...
...the computer. I've used Boots for photo printing like this for many years, ever since I got a digital camera, and also used them when I had a normal camera as well. I've yet to have any problems, other than one incident a few years ago where photos were mixed up, but this was sorted quickly, and I, and the other person, got a free film and a refund. I will not hesitate to use them in future. A particular thing with Boots is the staff, who you feel ...

Brilliant Prints In an Hour

Advantages: Really clear colourful pics
Disadvantages: Expensive but worth it

...I take the films to Boots and have them done in an hour. So first day back at work, I dropped my films into Boots in my lunch hour. They were really busy at the counter; but I did not have to wait long. When I explained how important the films were, I was offered what they call "Special memories".The film is ready in an hour, they gave me the choice of print sizes; I went for the 7x5" medium. You do pay a bit more for this service; but when I got ...

Developing those holiday snaps at boots

Advantages: Its Boots - you can trust them
Disadvantages: Staff many not have the best training in the world

...offer on disposable cameras in Boots before I left - a damn good deal. Once back I headed straight for boots to get the films processed. Now I don't like spending much money so I did not opt for the 1-hour film-processing package for nearly £8 a film so I went for the overnight package. Which, to be fair was still pretty expensive £4.99 each. That is on top of the original £7 for the camera. I was actually impressed by the quality of the pictures. ...
...I had paid a fiver for one of my films but had only gotten 22 out of the 27 pictures.I am going back to get the rest done, but I shouldn't really have to. I would recommend going to Boots for your film developing, just watch out for inept staff! ...

Boots - an inconsistent service

Advantages: Competative prices, good loyalty scheme.
Disadvantages: Inconsistent level of quality of finished prints

...quality of your prints from Boots depends entirely on who is working the day you go in. I have had perfect prints and on one occasion I had 6 films printed and every single one was printed back to front. so any writing was backwards, people and objects were in opposite places. These films happened to be from a graduation day and as you can well imagine were important to the family. Thankfully after hefty words with the manager, the photos were reprinted ...
...an Advantage Card, ( the Boots loyalty points card) I was likely to get a large amount of my money back in points. On the other hand, however, I have only praise for the Boots online Digital Photo Centre. My digital prints were perfect, well exposed, exactly as I had intended them to come out. Having used other online developers including Snapfish and Truprint, I would certainly stick to Boots online, as I have had to return prints to the others ...

Free digital prints!

Advantages: Free!
Disadvantages: Only 40 :(

Boots photo processing is a digital print service that has a familiar name behind it, its not the cheapest digital processor online but its extremely reliable and has many useful features that help to get the best quality possible with as little trouble as possible. I don't use their service unless there is a deal on (I am a student and I am tight) at the moment they have a great deal… read on! I put this on here as I have used this service twice ...
...moment they offer 40 digital print posted to your address for a 1.50 delivery charge (and free photos :p). Basically sign up an account pick 40 pictures you want a copy of, upload them and then pay 1.50! That's it, wait 7 days and they will be with you :D posted straight to your door in a secure envelope. I like this service as you don't need to leave your house, you can edit your pictures online on their site or before you upload them AND you ...

Perfect results

Advantages: fast. effecient
Disadvantages: none

Boots photo processing is so quick, easy and reliable, there you have it I have summed them up, you have options to when you want to pick them up, which usually depends on how quickly you want them processed. I usually have them done quickly, within 24 hours, but you can have them done with an hour if you want. I always know that my photos are going to look good, having newly purchased a camera, I was unsure of how to use it, so I worried not and ...

Quick review of Boots - Photo Processing

The 35mm FILM processing is now awful, grainy, blocky, just poor. The CD from the same negatives looks awful on screen even though the resolution isn't too bad (1832x1240 = 2.2Mpixels ). This from a very nice Pentax slr with very nice lenses and proper Kodak gold 200ASA. Yet the same place at the same time (Cambridge Dec 2007) did some fabulous prints from digital So the problem is in the scanning the negatives, and when I take them back tomorrow I shall tell them so ...

THE GREATEST PHOTOS

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

Boots offer film processing at many of their stores around the UK. They offer a number of different processing times including 1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days and 5 days and several enlargement sizes. The prices seem to compare well with other processors in the high street and the quality of the prints are as good as you will find anywhere. If you have a 35mm film developed Boots will also include a handy index print. This print shows a smaller image of ...
...the size of a single print. This index print also shows the negative number, therefore, arranging reprints is a lot easier. For minimal cost a second set of prints can be purchased, although the cost of this increases if it is not done when the initial processing is carried out. ...

...processed fast and cheaply then Boots is the place. Th quality of the photo’s are excellent and for under £3 you can get 24 photo’s processed in a hour……well actually less. I was trying to develop my photo’s in time for my friend leaving on holiday, and I was recommended Boots and I was very grateful for it. Good All Round Store

Advantages: good selection, more that just a chemists
Disadvantages: not always everything in stock, sometimes difficult to navigate

...started off as a Chemist's Boots has come a long way. Looking through the Bradford store today (the one in the Arndale Centre not the one in the Brown & Muff building) I think to myself, "What other chemists sell cutlery, crockery, opticians, photo developing, cosmetics, chocolate, drinks, sandwiches as well as all the standard potions and medicines normally sold in local chemists". Boots is now more of a "general store" than a chemists selling nearly ...
