~ Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash ~ I suffer with problematic skin that is extremely sensitive and prone to spot outbreaks and blemishes from time to time. I have found the use of products containing Tea Tree are extremely beneficial when treating spots and will regularly purchase skincare items that contain this ingredient. Whilst shopping in a local branch of Boots recently, my eye happened upon a small range of skincare items displayed neatly on a shelf, namely the “Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel” range which contained perhaps ten or so items, ranging from facial washes to ... more

Advantages Advantages Makes spots appear less frequently, long-lasting, doesn't dry out skin.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Scent might be off-putting for some.

Introduction I'm quite weird with my facial cleansing routine. I always think I can find a better product for my skin, so even after I find one I like, I still try out lots of different brands and types of cleansers. One that I tried fairly recently and I am loving is the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Foaming Facial Wash, so I decided to do a review on it and rave about how good I found it to be! Price and Duration It's priced at £3.49 normally, but Boots were doing a '2 for £5' deal when I bought this product so I bought 2 bottles (I'm not sure if this offer is still valid). You might think ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lasts ages

    Disadvantages Disadvantages It's too average

Tea Tree & Witch Hazel and where to buy I was having a nosey in Boots looking for yet another product to try to help my skin out and I came across Tea Tree and Witch Hazel - it's one of Boots own brands and is reasonably priced at about £3. There isn't a massive range for this brand as it's mostly just about cleaning your face really so you get the foams, facial wipes, exfoliation, night gel, etc... I do think that they are all reasonably priced but I'm not sure if I would say that they are my favourite brand. Needless to say - they're nothing special. Advantages Advantages cleanses, clears spots quickly with combo of products

Disadvantages Disadvantages smells astringent which may not appeal

A couple of weeks into December last year I had a massive breakout of spots on my face. This is something quite rare for me but does happen from time to time when I am run down, stressed or have been burning the candle at both ends. I think the combination of the three contributed to my flare up. I went in search of a remedy but also something that would help prevent this in future. I discovered the Tea Tree and Witch Hazel range at Boots. The first thing I purchased from the range was the spot wand and the foaming facial wash. I went back to Boots teh very next day and gt a few other items ... more

Advantages Advantages Great for spots & greasy skin, lathers well & smells so fresh

    Disadvantages Disadvantages N/A

In my teens i suffered from mild acne and i was desperate to try pretty much anything to improve the condition of my skin and fight off the spots. I tried many different cleansers and blemish treatments with very little success and just as i was about to give up thinking there's nothing i can do about my skin i'll just have to live with it, i heard about something called 'Tea Tree'. I believe it was an article in a magazine where i read that Tea Tree reduces the redness of spots and prevents the skin from becoming greasy which also helps stop spots. As well as suffering from spots myself i ... more

    Advantages Advantages Pump action dispenser

Disadvantages Disadvantages The price may be too expensive for some people

I have never tried Boots own brand tea tree and witch hazel products before so I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the product. I Cycle to and from work every day and it can become very sweaty and when you are run down as well it is prime time for me to have break out. I decided to switch to using a tea tree and witch hazel product to see if it would help clear my complexion. I regularly shop at boots to try and build my points up and they tend to do some good deals. It was nice to see that boots have a wide selection of products that use tea tree and witch hazel. I felt I was a Kid ... more

Advantages Advantages clears up blemishes, makes skin more radiant, inexpensive

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Just a quick overview, the product is a twice-daily facial cleanser, marketed towards those who have oily or combination skin. It is sold in a 150ml bottle and costs £2.99. WHY I BOUGHT IT I was wandering around Boots with my mom, looking for a birthday present for a friend. After we found her present, we decided to have a browse round to look for, well, anything really. We were walking through the skincare section when we came across the Tea Tree and Witch Hazel range. Having spent the previous 10 minutes or so looking at the Clarins and Clinique ranges, we were instantly drawn to favour this ... more

    Advantages Advantages Price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Everything else

I bought this on the 2 for a fiver deak and the fact is, it does work. It does what it says on the tin and the cleanser is OK. But after a few uses, even though I used the moisturiser, it wasn't great at making my skin smooth. I hated the smell of the product as it had a very strong smell. It also made my skin quite red and dry. I tried thisfor about three months. I admit that it did clear up my spots though. I will be reviewing this and a few other of the bits in the range. Please do not but this product if you have sensitive skin, but if you haven't this prduct may be alright. I have ... more

Advantages Advantages bottle last for ages, good for your skin, makes it healthy, clean and soft

Disadvantages Disadvantages it sometimes makes my skin feel a little tight for a while

I spent about four pounds on this. Its very good stuff. When you squeeze it out the bottle it turns into foam so it lasts for ages. When you wash it off your skin looks so healthy and feels so soft. It is also very gentle so if you have dry skin like me it is not too rough. The only problem I have is it can make your skin a little tight but it doesnt really matter. If you dont no what facewash to buy, i would reccomend this. It is very good. You can buy it at boots and there are many other products with teatree and witch hazel in them like there is a spot stick, moisturers, shine control ... more
