Boots teething pain relief With little grandson being at that age when the teething process atarts in earnest, we began to have a look around at some of the pain relief products available, preferably homeopathic. I remembered that when my children were young I used teething granules, so knew there must be something natural on the market. **What are they?** These are basically granules which can be given to babies and infants for the relief of teething problems. They do contain chamomile which if used in the correct dosage can relieve teething pain. **Product and Packaging** The blue box has ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages None I can think of.

We bought "Boots Teething Granules" just as Lauretta started teething. She is certainly much more into her teething process now although she has not cut any of her teeth yet. We have found that sometimes they are not strong enough. Lauretta has been screaming in pain and the pain has been really bad, but we have only found that calpol or nurofen has worked for her. The "Boots Teething Granules" work for Lauretta when her teething is not too painful. The idea that you put them in the babies mouth and they dissolve is really quick and simple. They could do with staying in the babies mouth longer ... more

Boots teething granules are fantastic! I can not emphasize enough how fantastic they are. Really! In the bad old days before discovering these marvellous powders, we were dosing up our now 22 month old Toddler with pink, gloopy, sticky suspension pain relief. Okay this did work, but it also made him hyper and I found that I needed to keep topping him up on this with no satisfaction that it was actually doing any good and possible more harm. So bearing that in mind I started scouring the shelves of Boots for alternatives. And am I glad I did?! Boots Alternatives Teething Pain relief ... more

I was at the end of my tether. Connor (my 8month old baby son) was teething yet again and I had tried everything. He has this bad habit of cutting two teeth at the same time! And boy does this mean trouble. Until, that it I discovered Boots Teething Granules. The work instantly and this means that not only is Connor happier, but so am I and I can get a good nights uninterrupted sleep (at last). Advantages Advantages Simple to use, nice taste

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be a bit tricky if baby or toddler is crying

Teething gels are all very well at first. You rub them into the naked gum, and you can see what you are doing. Our son is onto his back molars, and we now get our fingers bitten off if we try it. Ouch. So we now use these teething gels. They're fantastic. If baby is not crying it's very easy, otherwise you try to wedge the mouth open as much as possible. Then you take the opened sachet and tip it in. Our son licks it up straight away so it must taste nice, and he will lick any spillages off a finger. Advice: tear the sachet open first, and shake the packet so that the granules will come out ... more

It is very hard to cope with teething in a young child. They don't know why it hurts, you try everything you can, and have many sleepless nights. I helped with our grandchild during teething recently and I found these BOOTS granuals so easy to use. Pop them into the mouth and they seem to numb the gum instantly. Bliss for mums and must be heaven for that crying child. The powder comes in handy small sachets so they are very easy to carry around with you in that changing bag, or even in your handbag so that you can get to them when the tears start to flow. I would recommend these for most ... more

Everyone who has had a baby knows how fustrating it is when they are teething. It's an unfortunate stage of development that they have to go through, but thankfully there is help at hand. I have tried so many teething remedies the in last few months, all which have been good in the short term. Someone told me about these homepathic teething granules, so i thought that i would try them out as anything is worth a try if it eases the pain. The product comes in small sachets, which you tip into baby's mouth and it instantly numbs the gums. I found it to be a god send at night, and it certainly ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive, can be fiddly to get in mouth

I was advised by a friend to try these on my teething 3 month old baby. I was very impressed at the immediate effect they had. My son was crying in pain with his teeth so I poured a sachet of the granules into his mouth. He sort of chewed them and stopped crying straight away! We have tried chilled teething rings which he isn't keen on having in his mouth and teething gel which is effective but only for a short period. The teething granules seem to have a fairly lasting effect which is good as you can only use one sachet every 2 hours. So far we have only had to use 1 or 2 sachets a day at ... more

My son has just decided to grow some teeth. So off i went to find out how i could ease the pain. Into the chemists i went and the teething granules where the first that the chemist recommended. Ok the price is alot but for silence i was willing to have a go. First signs of trouble and in they went then silence. It was a miracle.
