Advantages Advantages Worke well. Not too drowsy

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Dry mouth.

As a child I would journey for hours in the back of a car reading a book and felt fine, I travelled the country on National Express coaches as a teenager and never had a problem and I could ride any spinning fairground ride without batting an eyelid but in the last few years travel sickness is something that has crept up on me. I don’t have any problem when I am driving a car nor when I am a passenger as long as I am looking out of the window, as soon as I try to read a map or printed directions I start to get that familiar queasy feeling in my stomach and I have to look up again which can be ... more

5 Stars Sickness be gone Review with images 23/07/2011

Advantages Advantages They stop me from being feeling sick and actually being sick

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None at all

Sickness Be Gone I suffer from severe travel sickness depending on what type of transport I am in. When I am driving I am fine but if I am a passenger especially in he back seat I am lucky if I can go a couple of miles without the need to throw up. Trains, planes and boats I am fine with but when it comes to buses I just need to set foot on the bus and as soon as I feel the vibrations from the wheels I start feeling queasy and nauseous. Last week my car was in the garage getting it's MOT and I had promised my mum that I would go and visit her. Unfortunately my mum lives in the deepest darkest ... more

Advantages Advantages Chewable. Prevents queasiness. We have had no side effects.

Disadvantages Disadvantages May cause side effects.

Put me in the back seat of car and I’m guaranteed to feel the onset of queasiness within minutes and need to request a seat swap or stop for frequent breaks, if I’ve not taken some form of travel sickness pills. Last week I ended up in the back seat of a seven seater car, when lift sharing with some friends. I thought I’d be fine as we were only going about five miles, but after the first couple I found myself hoping and praying that I would reach our destination without being a pain and asking to stop, and I wished I’d taken my Travel Calm tablets. Map reading in the front seat presents a ... more

    Advantages Advantages Work Well

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Some Side Effects

I seldom shop in Boots because I find the store very expensive. When I need any over the counter medicine type products I usually try my local Lloyds Pharmacy or my local Superdrug first. The only thing I buy from Boots on a regular basis is their travel sickness tablets. The tablets called Boots Travel Calm cost £2.49 for 12 tablets. I have suffered from travel sickness all my life. Often children grow out of having travel sickness and my son used to suffer from travel sickness when he was a child but as a youth he is fine. Unfortunately I have always suffered from travel sickness and I ... more

Advantages Advantages they work well, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages some people may have side effects

Travel sickness is one of those strange things with me. I don't get it all the time - for example I have never been travel sick on a boat or plane - even in a car, but every now and then I'll get motion sickness when travelling by bus. I used to do the same one hour journey every two weeks for about 2 years, and although for the first year or so I was fine, I suddenly started feeling really sick after about 45 minutes on the bus. I found that sitting with my head down cured it, and never actually took any medication for it. That was a good few years ago, and I hadn't experienced any sickness ... more

Advantages Advantages Advantages: Pocket sized box?

Disadvantages Disadvantages Disadvantages: The awful symptoms

When I'm driving myself around in my (dented) VW Polo I feel fine (I love driving). However as soon as I become the passenger its a matter of minutes before my stomach starts its own private display of somersaults cheered on by the area between my ears which starts to hum loudly. I don't often travel long distances as a passenger as since I passed my driving test I seem to get allocated as the driver. However when sorting out the travelling arrangements for going to Luton airport on the way to Tenerife I was beaten to the drivers seat by my boyfriend (He swore it would be easier to fit all the ... more

Advantages Advantages Fast acting and long lasting

    Disadvantages Disadvantages dry mouth

I have never known anyone get as travel sick as me, I can get ill in a car, bus, coach, plane, boat or even canoe!!! To ensure that I don’t end up housebound I invested in these travel sickness tablets. The main thing that made me choose these tablets over the others available is the time they last for. Most tablets seem to last up to 4 or 5 hours, but these last 6-8 hours. The other thing that really drew me to them is that you only have to take them 20 mins before you travel as opposed to some which you have to start taking up to 12 hours - which as you can imagine having to take tablets 12 ... more

Advantages Advantages Effective in 20 minutes, cheaper than Joy Rides (same stuff), kids can take it

Disadvantages Disadvantages side effects of the drug, dry mouth and sometimes drowsiness

These are an effective treatment for travel sickness which my children are plagued with. I give them the recommended dose 20 minutes before the journey and TA-DA ..... no more green children and emergency pulling over! The Boots staff could not have been more helpful in explaining how to use them and did warn of the side effects which are common to all travel sickness medicines. As a result of the type of medicine they all can cause drowsiness and all can cause a dry mouth, but as I had been warned I made sure I had drinks on hand and it wasnt a huge problem. The only thing to bear in mind ... more
