We had a big social event at and I took loads of great pictures (inc. the board looking sheepish). I decided to get the two rolls of film on a picture CD so we could could put them on the Company website. ...got a call back from Boots saying that they had found my photos, when I went to get them (queuing for 20 minutes) I found they had sent back the pictures of squirrels and had ignored the form I had filled out. Included in their normal developing service is a free upload of the film to Bootsphoto.com, where you can send the pics and share them to your friends. Meanwhile, in their open photo lab behind the counter, a man in his late 40's is sitting in a chair. Doing nothing. Not wearing a lab coat. Went on a wet camping trip abroad so chose 2 identical disposable cameras. I wanted the option of sharing the photos with friends over the internet so I opted to have them on CD as well, but as the price wasn't great, hence I decided to wait 3 days. On picking up the photos (and waiting in a 20min queue) I was shocked to find one of them cost £1 more than the other, even though they were same size, same amount of photos, and no real difference between ...

I'm surprised at how good quality they are even with some of the night shots and after going through a hurricane! I would like to upload them onto a website, but I have to use their program and it looks like I'd need to 'buy' them again in order for anyone using another computer to view them.... ...I took them to Boots to have them developed on the hour processing. They were expensive, but for a special occasion as this, I didn't mind. When I got them back, I was very dissapointed as they were very dark and some of the colours didn't seem true. I complained and they re-developed them free of charge. ...popped one film in to Boots for one hour developing. I was surprised to find it very expensive but went ahead all the same, expecting a respected brand to produce good quality photographs. I came back to collect my photos, paid, and left the shop. All good so far. Sitting down to look over the photographs, I discovered that half of them had white spots on them. Due to the politeness of staff, and attempts to solve the problem, I have said yes when asked whether to recommend them, but would advise customers to er on the side of caution. Despite a history of long waits in the queues and previous problems, I continued to use Boots developing because of the convenience and the Advantage points. However, recently I've had a saga stretching over at least a month trying to get various sets of photos developed. The saga is too long to put in detail, but it has involved a lot of wasted time, unnecessary trips to find that the developing wasn't ready, faulty CDs created from SLR film, staff not being able to find where other staff have put things, poor customer service. ...once compared the prices between boots and Asda and asda were almost 3 times more expensive, and this is one of the cheapest supermarkets? Most of the time they are doing a deal such as 50 digital prints for a fiver on the 24hour service and the second set is still half price. So that's 100 prints for £7.50 (7.5p per print) All you do is give your digital media. They accept all kinds of memory sticks/cards, it takes a couple of minutes to download ...

Bluewater is one of these sites. The quality of the prints are as good as your camera is at taking them. You give them a good quality photo they will give you a good quality print. ...placed an order on the Boots online system and completed the full checkout process. I received a confirmation stating the value of my order. However, a day later I received an email stating that my order had been cancelled "as part of their internal procedures to protect customers". "Why?" I asked myself. Card details were ok and I'd received confirmation - so why cancel the order. So I asked by sending an email to their "customer care" email address. ...
...and guess what...No response. I'm very disappointed in Boots - Cancelling my order and not responding to my emails. I'm affraid their online system gets a true thumbs down for me...and I'll be thinking twice about walking into one of their high-street stores. Sorry, Boots but you're Rubbish!!! ...
