Bourbon biscuits.
You must have eaten a bourbon biscuit sometime, the first Bourbon biscuit was made in 1910 by Peak Freans in Bermondsey south London. It is named after an aristocratic French / Spanish family why I am not sure maybe the manufacturer wanted to make the biscuit sound aristocratic? ...species that are known as bourbon biscuits. Well let me en-lighten you. The bourbon biscuit was first introduced in 1910 by the Bermondsey company Peek Freans.
The biscuit is known as a sandwich biscuit. Basically what it is, is two thin chocolate biscuits, with a creamy chocolate fondant filling in the middle. I think these are quite similar to the Oreo cookie, but I think Oreo's are nicer. The two chocolate biscuits are normally 3cm x 6cm in length.

The bourbon biscuit, a strange creature in my eyes. chocolatye crunchy biscuit sandwiches a chocolatey cream centre but there isnt actually any real chocolate. its a biscuit i like but only on occasions its as if i sometimes crave one but would never choose them over other snacks.

...type biscuits with the word BOURBON on the outside of each one, with a very sweet chocolate coloured cream sandwiched inbetween them. They are about 2½ inches long and 1 inch wide so not overly big. They are not very good for dunking in your coffee/tea with them having the cream filling.
I find the best way to eat these biscuits is by trying to eat one layer of biscuit first without touching the cream, and then eating the biscuit round the cream ...
