Advantages Advantages Doesn't clog your lashes and it's easy to remove, but doesn't smear!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Wayyy too expensive if your buying this at the retail price.

When my Max Factor mascara recently ran out I decided to look for a replacement. I wanted a mascara that wasn't too expensive to wear daily to work, and I wanted it to give volume to my long but very fine eye lashes. I came across Bourjois Pump Up the Volume and having been impressed with a Bourjois mascara in the past I decided to give this one a go. I usually wear black mascara but I decided to go for a brown one this time to not give as strong a look for the office, but a more subtle appearance. I picked this mascara up cheap brand new and sealed from eBay, for £3. Considering this mascara ... more

Advantages Advantages Clean, Crisp, Strong, Long Lasting, Waterproof

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None!

I love love love Bourjois Paris Makeup - though I tend not to buy it very often, as my budget doesn't allow me to. My most recent purchase is their Pump up the Volume Waterproof Mascara, and I have to say I'm converted. The first time I bought this mascara I was impressed, but I wanted to try something else, however I have had to go back to it and made my second purchase last week. Bourjois - Paris, Pump up the Volume Waterproof Mascara is available in Noir Glamour (Number 21), Brun Starlette (Number 22) Bleu Croisette (Number 23) and Violet M'as-tu vu (Number 24). My current buy is Noir ... more

Advantages Advantages Full, flexible, flirty lashes!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some colour-straying if not applied carefully.

Leaving the house without mascara is something I simply do not do. Call it vanity, insecurity, stupidity - whatever you like - I just do not feel dressed without it. I am therefore, always in pursuit of the perfect mascara. The check-boxes to tick are that it must not smudge, it must not look too 'fake', it must not be fibrous and 'spidery' and it really must not clump! A tall order? I think not - with all the various mascaras available, there must be one that comes close by now, surely? After years of searching I did settle down with a No.7 and L'Oreal mascara (alternating between the former ... more

Advantages Advantages Great packaging, Formula very good

Disadvantages Disadvantages Brush leaves black blotches on eye lid

I am a huge fan of Bourjois, especially their mascara and I have bought just about every one in their range. So when I needed a new mascara I was thrilled to discover one I hadn't tried yet. The packaging, like all Bourjois products, is very chic and gives you the feel of designer products with out the designer prices. The brush was very easy to hold and sealed propelly to the tube. The design also means there is very little waste on the rim of the tube. My eyelashes are very long but because they are very fine and blonde I need a volumising mascara previously I have found the best one to be ... more

Advantages Advantages Adds a lot of volume, lengthens, intense colour, nice packaging

Disadvantages Disadvantages Clumps, doesn't separate, smells funny, take ages to dry

Recently, I have been doing a lot of research on bourjois mascaras and have been looking for one to suit me. I have read many reviews and according to a lot of them pump up the volume mascara was the best. So I decided to try it out. I bought mine at Superdrug in Luton for about £7.89 I think and I am glad that I have. The packaging isn't very eye catching, unlike others such as extreme volume clubbing and maxi frange waterproof. The bottle is very comfortable to hold although it looks quite small even though it is an 8ml bottle which is more than some of my other mascaras. When I took out the ... more

3 Stars Quick review of Bourjois Pump Up The Volume Mascara by charlotte_thomas 26/04/2008
I have been buying much more bourjois make up recently and was fairly impressed with this mascara. It was cheaper than the other mascaras in the bourjois range and you get more of it too, its 12ml rather than the usual 7 or 8ml. The brush is quite thick which is the only thing I find a little off putting but apart from that it's great. The product covers well, the colour is good and it does give good volume, bourjois is definately my favourate brand at the moment!

    Advantages Advantages reasonably good

Disadvantages Disadvantages does not live up to the promise

There I go again - being seduced by yet another mascara advert. Mascara is one of my addictions and I have about 30 of them but this is not one of the best. It is good as a normal daily mascara and is reasonably good at plumping but it does not offer the wonderful results you expect. The bottle is attractive (as with all Bourjois products) and it comes in all the usual shades. It is a nice addition to your makeup bag and handbag for attractiveness and a good reliable mascara but if you buy it expecting Catherine Zeta Jones eyelashes you are in for a dissapointment. Good for blonds, redheads ... more
