Review of Bourjois Volume Glamour Mascara Ultra Black
Advantages: Very black, seperates lashes, easy application Disadvantages: Needs quite a few coats, not 'volumey' or 'glamourous'
...saw this new mascara from Bourjois (considering they're not cheap and are a big name in cosmetics) I thought 'This should do the trick!' I love to have long volumey black eyelashes that don't take thousands of coats to achieve. So with it being called 'VOLUME glamour - Ultra Black' I expected this to be the bee's knees. So I buy it and off I go. So its now time to try this new fancy mascara out. Its quite a big tube with a flat circular bottom so ... ...at the top, so aesthetically it's really nice, with its silver letters on a black background. So I pull the brush out and its a nice thick, long applicator which is usually a good thing. But when it comes to actually putting it on its a huge disappontment. The brush is soft so it glides easily along the lashes, but it doesn't put much on, so the 'one coat' application is now out of the window. My eyelashes look barely different, but they do look ...

...come in waterproof unfortunately! (If anyone is looking for a good Bourjois waterproof mascara, I definately recommend the Volume Clubbing Waterproof mascara in Black. After 3 hours of swimming it hadn't smudged at all but was still easy to remove with makeup remover at the end of the day!) ...

...you need 2-3 coats before it look 100% glamourous !
It's little and you can take it with you.
I LOVE IT, and it can recomend it 100 times, it's great, and after the mascara, my favourite cosmetic-brand is Bourjois Paris !

I have used bourjous mascaras in the past, and have always found them to be very good, so I decided to try this one, with the promise of ultra-black lashes and lots of volume. I think in general, that it made fairly good on this promise, as it does provide a good coating of the lashes to create a sultry look. Stupidly, I didn't think to get a regular mascara to wear during the day, as this definately says "night" to me, as I tend to go for fairly ...
