Advantages Advantages Cheap living Great fun

Disadvantages Disadvantages Low key University - your friends laugh at you

I attended Bradford University to study for a degree in Environmental Sciences. I have to say the degree was about as much use as not having one, however the night life and cost of living in Bradford has to be experienced to be believed. What a place. The culture mix of Bradford makes a heady mix, I know its cliche but you haven't tasted curry until you tasted Bradford curry. Easy access to the best countryside in England can be yours too. The Yorkshire Dales, Malham and the Lake District are all within easy distance. By the way accommodation is unbelievably cheap. I ecommend going there. ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy access, good, wide range of courses

Disadvantages Disadvantages has a not so good reputation, just because it is in the city of bradford

Bradford University is one of the best Universities in Great Britain and ofers a wide range of courses to choose from. It is easy to get to too, seing as most departments at Bradford are on the main campus, just ten minutes' walk from the city centre. The Library, the Computer Centre, the Sports Centre, the Students' Union, the Theatre, the self-catering halls of residence and virtually everything else you need is all on one campus. The School of Health Studies with its newly built facilities, is just half a mile away, close to a local hospital, and the Management Centre situated on a self ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good Station

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Bradford

THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION OF WHAT I FELT AND ENCOUNTERED. I do have friends who loved both the Uni and the city so.... What more can I say other than steer clear. I was a student here for two years before finally escaping to Paris in my third year and then never returning. I found the University as a whole disorganised, unfriendly, unhelpful and miserable. The city its-self was oppressive, unattractive, unsafe and really creepy. I found the lack of social life a problem, I am neither religious nor a heavy drinker and therefore I felt there was nothing for me to do. When they moved the cinema ... more

Advantages Advantages There is a Costa and Nero in the city-centre.

Disadvantages Disadvantages If you are an ethnic minority interview candidate you won't stand a chance.

Whilst it boasts a large Asian student population do NOT be fooled. I believe this University is a RACIST employer and guilty of practicing RACISM when it comes to screening and interviewing applicants for jobs. I know this because I applied using my own Asian name whilst submitting a second application using an English name. The English candidate had significantly fewer qualifications and experience. Guess who was invited for an interview? The English candidate. What a surprise. Senior people within Human Resources department have since tried to lie their way of this situation by pretending ... more
