Brasso Metal Polish

At my home I have a few items made from brass and they are this rather annoying but lovely globe, some items surrounding my fire place and this odd picture frame. I was always cleaning it with polish and a duster assuming it would work but it actually removed some of the dirt but instead of making it shine left it with these marks which looked really terrible. Both my partner and I have inherited quite a few metal items from parents and grandparents such as candlesticks and I have a few silver photo frames and christening goods that I like to keep clean. A standard polish cleans the metal ok, but I have found that it really dulls down the shine and I was recommended to use Brasso cleaner to bring my silver back to its former glory. I always have a tin of Brasso polish in my house because I think it is very useful for a lot of things. I like Brasso and I have bee using it for many years. Mine is in a tin with a lid that screws off and it cost me just over £2. I have had it for along time now but it keeps, I find. I do like the smell of Brasso though it is quite strong, but it’s a smell I am happy to have in my house and I don’t find it unpleasant, though I know some people may do. I tend not to use this liquid Brasso these days However I have used it often and really ought to get another bottle or use the brass cleaner that is already soaked in a wadding because I did keep some brass ornaments which were my parents and they look like they could do with a clean.
